Hapy birthday Bruce!
Sorry I’ve not been down to see you this year, hopefully next year will be slightly quieter!

York Mosquito
Tony Agar’s NF.II Mosquito at Elvington has been a mammoth restoration task, but has been completed with no thought of flight in mind.
At the Elvington Airshow for the last couple of years this Mosquito has been rolled out (this year to outside the main hangar in the museum, last year onto the airshow flightline) and thus a lot more people have become aware of its existence!
More information and lots of pictures of this aircraft can be seen here: http://www.mossie.org/HJ711.htm.

Here’s an image of the part in question on a Mosquito (specifically Tony Agar’s HJ711 at Elvington):

Happy birthday Bruce! Sorry I didn’t post yesterday, but I didn’t manage to get close to a computer all day!
Andy
I thought the programme was excellent, what a wonderful man!
Andy
Congratulations to you and Mrs Bruce!

Confused?
Moggy didn’t mean that the http://www.mossie.org page was down, rather that the
Larry Wright and Louise Blackah’s Bomber Command pages
link from the FAQ page is dead.
Andy
Links
Many thanks Moggy – I’ll have to tackle the links and FAQ pages sometime soon and it’s not a challenge I’m particularly looking forward to!
Andy
For a list of the worldwide Mosquitoes, see my site at http://www.mossie.org – unfortunately it’s not as up-to-date as I’d like it to be, but I’m working on that!
Andy
MarkG has already added the link that I was going to, so I won’t add it again! Tony has been very busy with his Mosquito recently and has made great progress, as can be seen from the images on my site. I don’t know what the situation is with regards to the ownership of exhibits at the YAM, however I should be seeing Tony again soon and will try to rememember to ask him.
