On acig, the pakistanis are saying that they and pakdef don’t consider Ayesha Siddiqui to be a credible source. Guess that explains the IRST and stuff…..

You’d be mad to test the Singapore fortress
By Anthony PaulSINGAPORE has a poorly kept military secret, if the city’s taxi drivers, who often double as driving-seat generals, are to be believed. A visitor taking a taxi from Changi Airport will sometimes be told the inside story.
Those obstacles include well spead out greenery from the beginning to the end and lots of buildings(eventually) on both sides and several bridges too. I really can’t see how they’d clear a lot of those out?
So the MKI is the best in the world now?
Quite right, troll.
When you see claims about stealth and what not, why is it so surprising to see pakistanis dissing india, afterall, can they even do anything else? It would only be best for the IAF to have the PAF think that their FC-1 is so good and go into combat against the LCA and get blown off before they know it.
We have to wait how good the planes will be and sofar we have not seen the final production machine
Not so much as you think. The LCA seems to have state of the art or atleast, slighty impressive features already integrated into the production variant which is flying. Even it’s technology demonstrator has a glass cockpit, it’s service variant is supposed to get the JHMCS. Seriously, no one is going to start to explain that the FC-1 has anything special to write home about. At present it’s a flying shell. When it’s manufacturers themselves explain that it’s a low end aircraft, about 80% capable as an F-16, what’s more to be said?
What is totally unfortunate for pakistan and good for india is that the israelis have become leaders in aircraft avionics. Strange thing is that china itself is a customer of israel. You can also start to tell me how pakistani is going to negotiate for AGAT’s seeker on the SD-10 or the Klimov RD-93, both russian products?
Visit BR forum… They have special patrs about anti china posts… And do look at LCA posts…
A remember a sentance on the same lines by a pakistani a coupla years ago. Went there, came back, said “So?” and he posted the same thing again. Guys, if you have to flame, please get over the standard format atleast.
Why do you have to be such an idiot, munir?
Mirage-2000H, MiG-29, Su-30K, Su-30MKI, MiG-21, MiG-27, MiG-23, MiG-25, Jaguar, Jaguar maritime, ALH, Mi-17, Mi-26, Mi-25, Mi-35, Hs748, Mi-8, Il-76, Do-228, An-32 Aloutte-3, Kiran, Iskra, HJT-36, Hawk…..the list just keeps going on.
Can anything possibly get more interesting?
Add naval aircraft and gets even better – Sea harrier, Tu-142M, Il-38SD, Seaking, Islander…
a fabulous combo of Western and Eastern aircraft
yep
some rare domestic equipment Plenty
totally mixed up weapons configurations R-73 on Mirage-2000, R-60 on Jaguar, An-32s carrying Harpy drones (if only there was a pic), Super-530D and R-77s on MiG-29, Magic-2 on MiG-21 etc and Litening pod on MiG-27
beautiful camouflage schemes Changing to low viz but that looks good on Russian a/c because it’s seldom seen before.
active history and magnificient kill ratio Absolutely.
I like exotic airforces and hence USAF is boring and come to think of it, dropping JDAMs from high altitude and running away is not really fun to read about anymore. Gone are they days when they pick on equally matched opponents too.
Most exotic of them all? Perhaps the PLAAF which is now well equipped with Flankers.
Most Impressive, equipment + manpower wise? The IAF. They now have the world’s best a/c the Su-30MKI, a huge fleet, lots of aircraft types, a huge inhouse industry and superb training. You don’t get to see much of a western + russian mix elsewhere either.
The Hellenic AF is also like the IAF with lots of a/c and types.
Simply impressive by combat record, it’s no doubt the IDF/AF.
The Algerian AF and the IIAF also deserve mentions.
It’s a pretty nice thing to think about. Had china got a few hundred MiG-29s or manufactured them, her enemies would have sh!t their pants. But I guess they did the same with the Flanker which is better and can now eat the RoCAF for lunch. I shudder to think of any more goodies added to that design.(MiG-29)
The FC-1 being based on the MiG-33, if you’re talking about that ground attack fighter, is well founded, not a rumor.
. The eventual goal of the LCA is for it to be equal to a block 50/52 f-16
The bloc 50/52 is no great shakes so it does’nt say much about your LCA if that’s the case. But I’d say that the LCA is already looking better, atleast technologically.
F-16s can claim whatever they want for maximum payload (which is actually supposed to be 9000 kg for that little fighter) but for any sort of agility, they would normally be limited to around 5000 kg. The F-16 is known to be a lousy handler and mover under loaded conditions. The 70s design was itself designed to be just a simple dogfighter with 2 or 4 AAMs. When you put larger BVRAAMs under that little wing, drag is gonna increase a lot.
It seems to me you really don’t know what G rating is. You seem to think its a measure of maneuverability, but boy oh boy, you’re erroneously grossly missing the mark
Bullcrap. Without considering the Gs pulled at certain speeds, the theoretical turn rates for all fighters would remain the same. If the FCS is’nt going to allow you to exceed 8 Gs, you simply can’t turn that hard. You sound as if an 8 G turn is equal to a 9 G one. 😀
Remember all those whines by F-16 pilots who wanted to exceed their 9 G limit, like the MiG-29?
Pull more Gs does not mean superiority as you can see very often older jets such as the F-5 beating Mirages 2000, F16s, F15s etc…
Yes, originally the F-5 is stressed for 7,33g but the upgraded can pull 9G.
F-5s have surprised many opponents and are very manueverable but no one is going to embarass himself by saying that it, in general, can turn with fighters of a more modern design. The MiG-21s themselves are known to be similar, but when push comes to shove, they are’nt comparable with modern fighters.
My question is how does one know it’s a phased array? Why is there a rotodome in that case?
What about the A-50s on order for the PLAAF? Maybe it’s one of those?
Which channel is that, on the Eurofighter picture? Something also seems to have been blurred out?
SD-10 and troung, your two way nationalist bickering is giving me a headache! 😡
Bangladesh being a traditional chinese customer is likely to show interest in the FC-1. Makes more economic sense being a single engined fighter too.
PLA, are’nt you the same pathetic loser who came masquerading as a woman on this forum, about a year ago? 😀
Shaaame!
Why would Egypt want the FC-1?
To replace the Banshee 400 in 2015.
The Su-47 looks more or less like an Su-27 with FSW and hardly stealthy. I hope the PAK-FA does’nt end up that way.
Put this in the proper thread and delete.
You’re talking about strong points of the su-30 MKI which are related to his high weight.
Depend if that IRST is made for A2A or A2G.
And how that big RDC badass will come close to the F-16 ?
You don”t understand the problem.
In BVR situation, in every way the su-30 is behind the block 60.I would like to see that puny radar vs high end ECM.
And that’s why Sukhoi has sold three times more Su-30 than LM with F-16
Since you don’t know much about the F-16, it’s not surprising that you don’t know more about the rafale.
You can check as much as you want, the Rbe2 won’t have a better range than the RDY.
That’s all related to PEASA or AESA.[b]
Yaawwwwwn!
You actually think that if a radar is small, it can be jammed easily? What does that make any radar on the F-16? :p
You also think that the just because the F-16 has sold more, it is better? For a heavy fighter, have you even a clue as to how many Flankers india, china and other customers have bought? 😀
Pssst… the block-60’s sensor is’nt really an IRST, it’s just FLIR. 😀
And since when was an F-16 stealthy? Are you also saying that the RBE-2s on the Rafale-Ms of Flottille 12F have air to ground modes? 😮
Very simple to put things in perspective. Compare an F/A-18 with an F-14 Tomcat.
You took em? They’re amazing. 😎

Let me guess why? Because your PAF operates one version of the same aircraft and you’re dreaming about getting more? I would’nt be surprised if you were getting the F-7MF instead tommorow and you guys would’nt spare us by instantaneously saying that it would be just as good as well? 😀
Do any job? Let’s see. Can it haul an 8000 kg weaponload over a range of 3400 km on internal fuel alone? Can it carry 14 AAMs, most of them being BVRAAMs? Can it’s IRST reliably detect fighters at well beyond BVR ranges head-on? Does it have the revolutionary TVC? Rearwards facing radar? I have’nt even begun, boy.
Yep I repeat. Compared to the Su-30, the outdated block-50 and the pregnant-block-60 are truely worthless especially when you are paying twice as much.
Its not a PESA like the Bars!!! (Heck, the RBE-2 seems more impressive than the Bars!!)
RBE-2, no thanks. As we speak, the RBE-2 can’t even boast of air to ground modes. Last time I checked, it could’nt exceed the RDY in range. NIIP has more experience with stuff like the Zaslon. Enough said. 😀
The Agile beam is’nt in service yet. It’s small and it’s LRUs and power units need to squeeze into the F-16’s nose.
Your site link is informative but lots of stuff in it are wrong. For example, the APG-77 has 2000+ T/R modules, not less.
even an Su-27 would eat it!
Actually the Su-27 would really eat it up. Far better endurance, agility, armament etc. The same way, the F-15C should easily eat up a shortlegged early model Mig-29, except in the maneuverability part.
A single L005 Sorbtisya should also be more powerful than an EL/M-8222. I’m not sure if the Su-30MKI has the Sorbtisya though.
Where’s our resident F-16 expert Arthur, when you need him? 😀
