You can’t compare a small short legged fighter with limited armament, radar and equipment to a monster like the Su-30MKI be it the overpriced crap like block 60 or the glorified block-50 F-16I. Even a late model Su-27 would eat up an F-16.

I can think of the Rafale, a fully developed one which may be able to hold it’s own. I’d choose the Su-30MKK too but the N001 is simply too limited to compare to the Bars.

No, it would be better for you to concentrate on building an air defence SAM network. What you said is actually already done. In today’s context, the PAF is a purely defensive airforce.

The PG goes much further and is a far more maneuverable development of the J-7II with a new wing and a whole battery of combat flaps and lift devices.

The PG should outclass any Mig-21 variant in WVR combat. Its weakness is the lack of BVR and smaller radar capacity.

But the PG also has the same if not worse TWR. Putting a quasi LEX and increasing the wing area on a Mig-21 is’nt going to result in a supermaneuverable fighter like some nationalists try to imply here. It does give a great improvement in AoA handling. We do know that the Mig and F-5 were very maneuverable but that was in yesterday’s world. There’s also no evidence to show that the PG in PAF service has HMCS. That’s just another BS rumor.

That’s right. Add ‘frienship price cuts’, ‘bulk order factors’, ‘ license production’, low labor costs and you’d probably get it to around $35 million. Otherwise, it would cost $50 million even by Russian standards. I know that HAL is claiming that it could build a complete Su-30MKI for $33 million but that remains to be seen.

The thing is Goldendragoon, that some people may get the wrong impression of your country when they see people talk like that, especially if they are pakistanis in fake ids.(even PLA draws flak here) I personally feel that it was decent of iguana to straighten things up.
