I agree! Its very sickening to see Indians invading every single Pakistan Airforce related thread and giving bad ratings to Pakistan Airforce threads. Its obvious that Indians are jealous
of the Pakistan Airforce who has always shown an excellent record of professionalism/dedication and galantry much in the same way the Israeli AF has fought off desperate Arab airforces for the past half century.
I thought that this thread was on the Russian perspective of the Afghan war and not a thread for pakistani fantasizing and dreaming?
Leave it to the ill informed, insecure nationalist pak crowd to turn everything into a flamefest. It’s like fungus on wood. First india will be brought in, pakistan’s unbacked up claims bordering ridiculous BS will be generated, then a bragging session followed by how many F-22s the PAF should buy will come up? 😀
We should discuss PAF topics without pakistanis.
I would also like to add that as a western well-wisher to Pakistan, Pakistan has always taken actions post september 11th
in a very cordial and dignified manner, I am a firm supporter of Pakistan on the Kashmir issue just like I support Israel on the Palestinian issue
Ha ha ha ha ha haa. These pak impostors can’t even do a good job. Have a tall glass of STFU on me.
I dont want to start a flame war but forgive me for saying
the Russians were the Biggest arms suppliers to Iraq, i guess the
T-72/64/54, the AK-47/RPG’s/Landmines/Hinds/fokkers/foxbats were supplied by the USA and France, please dont put your guilty conscience on the USA and France.Afterall it was the United States that removed Saddam Insane from power, a figure your nation was more than happy to equip during the Iran-Iraq war and then re-equip them in time for the Gulf war.
The French were against the war because they had very lucrative oil deals with Iraq, However the French will no longer theive from Iraq at the expense of the Iraqi people, the United States will do for Iraq what it did for Germany/Britian/France after world war 11
(Marshall Programme), and for south Korea after the korean war.lets compare American helped South Korea/Germany/France with Russian helped North Korea/Iraq/Syria.
Need I go on ?
Oh great……..
What excercise and what J-10? It has’nt been officially acknowledged. While it’s not impossible against a canarded fighter with high TwR, if the J-10 won 3 rounds, the Su-27 probably won 47.
And the MiG-29 gets beaten by the Su-27 anyday.

Either way the Pakistan airforce has chewed up everyone it has fought. Its a good achievement for a smaller country with less money then its rival India.
Uh oh, not again! 😀
If you read the earlier posts, you’d notice that the soviet RoEs made it a turkey shoot although I’d love to be in a situation like that. What claims can you throw if the only actual round fired against you was from your own side? Even the DRAAF does’nt seem to have actually engaged any PAF aircraft.
Which engine did the J-12 use? To make such a small plane go supersonic is no small deal.
Hamburger, I noticed your amusing sig. 😀

Thats the most serious concern of IAF, I dont think so they’ll be willing to ground all of these planes, whatever they order will take the same amount of time till LCA comes anyway…
how much will it cost to buy 125 M2ks??
Assuming the costs are around 60 million, (some sources say its higher, some says its lower…)
We’re talking about 7-8 BILLION dollars of ORDERS!
Can India afford these? Dont forget the logistics, weapons, training and other initial costs…it could go upto 10 billion dollars.
Say if its done…where will the LCA be standing in the whole picture???
I don’t think funding is india’s problem anymore and their defence budget is going upwards. I heard that there was actually some unspent excess last year!
That’s the old J-12. It was supposed to be really small. Does’nt look that way.
Yes, that’s what I’m talking about too. Where’s the wreckage footage? I’m aware of the tail of an Su-25 but where are the rest?
I don’t know how many the soviets claimed at all.

As jagan put it …lots of engagements were not published because they were scored on the wrong side of border..and F-16s were not the only scorer Mirage 3/5 scored aroung 7+ Kills as well as F-16s kill tally is around 33+ ..
Pak Fiza`ya was operating agressively in 1988-89 period frequently engaging Soviets in Afghan Air space ..on egood example is deployment of Tu-22jammers ..to support carpet bombing attacks..why would they deploy unless they were in danger of being engaged..by the way these damn tu-22 Jammers were so good that one could not anything on radar screen….but interstinly F-16s APG-66 were immune to jamming ..
On closer look at the air battles..on could find the lack of RWR..of F-16s …untill they were real close…..By the way the undecleared kills include 9 An-26s
MiG_Master
Yeah right!
Sigh……..!!!!! 😀
Particularly amusing was the part about the Tu-22 jammers being so good that the radar screen was completely noised but all of a sudden, the APG-66 becomes immune! 😀
PAF Fan, you said that the Russians have no proof? Where is your proof?
Hi Ali,
The score 10-0 may not be correct depending on the way you look at it. The PAF lost one F-16 to fratricide when a wingman shot his leader. I’ve seen some mentions that this F-16 was also claimed by a russian R-23 or ran into ordnance being dropped by strike aircraft but these are unlikely. Russia was also supposed to made some more “claims”
I think he means G-36. Pretty superb design it is.
Vympel, don’t take everything you read at face value. Every single instance of the indian army will show the INSAS rifle in deployment in all environments. While no gun in existance will work perfectly in extreme climates (note that the indian subcontinent’s definition of “extreme” is something pretty much greater in comparison to the rest of the world), the INSAS seems to have been succesfully in all the recent conflicts and was also exported IIRC. PAF_troll also posted an auditor’s report. We all know what auditors say don’t we? 😉
Too lazy to google? Here ya go – http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/MONITOR/ISSUE1/BR-MON6.html
FC-1 is going to replace pretty much everything in the PAF excluding the F-16s perhaps. It fits the PAF’s defensive doctrine and does’nt need to be attack oriented. While an A-5 is’nt likely to come back from a strategic strike mission, it should be useful in strafing battlefield targets.
Er….the IAF lost two fighters and a chopper as well though!
Versus hundreds of MANPADS launched over thousands of sorties.
Can someone please explain the special features of these aircraft for once? For example, what are all those extra bumps?
we’ve seen anti-PAF posts like this before.
Tigershark is an indonesian poster from CMF, I believe. 🙂
PS Hayley, I cut and paste your posts into babelfish but they still don’t translate to english.
Is that low-viz gray on the Mirage? That camo makes aircraft look more advanced for some reason. Outstanding.
Thanks ELP. There was a similar discussion on ACIG where Kurt Plummer was talking about the -104 and provided some links to disprove myths about it. Could you please provide the link for us to that bit?
