Is the Victor at Marham still at risk?
Possibly, I belive its not owned by the RAF but should they want rid of it they might just slap a “parking charge” on the Victor and unles they get payment within 30 days it will be scrapped.
Whats the condition of the Vulcan at Woodfood?
Not that good to be honest, its getting somewhat corroded these days and the engines are no longer run up, its a bit sad really as at one time it was about the best Vulcan left and was even a possible flyer 10 -15 years ago.
Nice photo’s Papa Liam, are there any plans to add more planes to the collection in 2006 ?
Nice photo’s of a nice museum, the Gannet is being rebuilt to do taxi runs.
Did you get any photo’s of the Bucc’s ?
Engine runs before Christmas, flying next year.
Excellent news would you be able to tell us when it’s first flight will be once you know ?
Was IN240 the last Sea Hawk to fly in India before being put on a pole at Vizag, or has another one flown since then ?
Here is a photo of Newark’s Sea Harrier taken in November 2004, can anyone provide a more recent photo please ?

Nice photo’s thanks for posting, have the Bucc’s engines been removed yet, also what is going on with the MIG17 back in 2003 I was told the plan was to fly it within 12 months, is there still an effort underway to get it flying ?
They look to be building a reasonable collection, but it worries me that they are expanding fast, have a number of airframes out in the weather (especially a Venom and a 125, which wont last 5 mins), and have no clear collecting policy.
Sounds a bit like what happend at Southend, hopefully Bournemouth wont go the same way, anyway I am gonna be going Bournemouth for a work project straight after xmas so will visit the museum and see for myself 🙂
Look lets all face it XL391 is beyond help, its high time this whole farce was ended once and for all.
A Vulcan in that state is not gonna inspire confidence in non aviation members of the public who may or may not want to donate to 558 or one the taxiable Vulcan’s, if you were ignorant of the Vulcan situation full stop would you want to give money to a Vulcan project if you had seen or knew about XL391 ?
This really has gone on way two long, we all knew back when it first went on e-bay in 2004 that it would not be saved and dragging it out for an extra 12 months or more has not done any good.
Bloody hell Tucano’s getting retired, I think Newark should get one as it would fit in well with there collection.
Another 5,

“Is it the only Vulcan (so far) to actually have worn its civil registration?”
XL426 has a civil registration painted on it, I like your photo’s Moondance
Yes this is worrying and needs urgent action, I and a couple of others are looking into this at present and I will keep everyone informed.
I got to have a very good look round XM575 last summer and it seems in good condtion, its just a shame that the engines wont ever be started, the photo below was taken last summer, dont be worried about the faded paint its in good sturctural condtion.
Cool photo’s, it looks like it was a good day, did the Bucc do a taxi run or just a static run ?
It really looks like the Bucc could be on the airshow circuit in 2006, HHA deserve a massive pat on the back for all the hard work and money that has got the project this far.
