There was an interesting article about immigrants from Poland in The Times last week. We have had over 100,000 come to Britain since April 2004. Fewer than 30 are claiming benefits and most return to Poland having made themselves some decent money or undergone some further education or training here in the UK.

Yeah I read a similar article the other week when stuck on a train, oh and re your point about cheap labor causing problem’s in the IT industry, there are plenty of people from the Uk who think a “teach yourself (insert programing language here” book and a long weekend going threw said book makes them a top class programmer.

If you think I’m joking then you should have seen the farce caused by a “programmer” who had done nothing more than read a 12 lesson website on Delphi and then talked his way in a job to build some new planning software at work.

Still I got plenty of overtime when I ended up taking over the project and rebuilding it from the ground up.

But on the point of immigration we have Polish staff at work who are a credit to their county with there excellent work and effort to integrate themselves as useful members of this country.

There should be a proper organization to complain to when things like this happen, and those responsible for such an insensitive act should be sacked immediately.

Nobody has bid yet, but there are still 6 days left.

Anyway a quick ebay tip, if you have something and want to sell it on the “buy it now” method, simply put the buy it now price as 1p. Then simply put the postage cost as the amount you wanted to sell the item for, and you avoid e-bays final value fee.
