Nope I could not upload a photo.
They are just machines, the owners can do with them as they see fit, it is entirly up to them.
Your absolutely right, at the end of the day sponsored aircraft are all painted appropriately.
Appropriately for the current owners and or sponsors requirements, of course when you have the money to own or sponsor an airshow act then you can paint it however you bloody well like.
Looks nice, best of luck with the site Stieglitz 🙂
i have been able to get red Bull removed form 25 stores because all I’ve done is taken in a photo of the B-25 and show them and explain to the owners what they are doing.
One can only hope nobody in charge at Red Bull looks at your remarks crazymainer, as
looking at that comment makes it seem like the aircraft sponsorship is causing negative publicity.
Nice photos, of a nice Mossie 🙂
All we gotta do now is persuade Corgi to do the big Mossie in that colour scheme !!!
You can get a smallish one in that colour scheme, I have one myself and its rather good.
Another nice set of photos, keep up the good work.
Nice photos Flood, it looks like you had a nice time 🙂
The Cactus photos are very interesting as I have collected Cactus plants for a few years, do you have any more photos of them ?
Nope they got the seized engine replaced, and on several occasions ran up all 4 engine’s with most of the other systems also operating.
If it has to be moved from Woodford then Elvington would be better than Manchester’s viewing park.
Looking at the photos on that site, the condition of FM212 is a lot better than what you would expect considering its been on its pole for 40 years.
One of e-Bays Greatest Deals, Christopher is a Credit to e-Bay, “VULCANISED”
The above quote is the feedback the seller gave to the buyer in the e-bay auction for XL391.
One assumes that their has been a bit of a mix up as the “One of e-Bays Greatest Deals” must apply to some other item not this Vulcan, as lets face it the entire XL391 situation has now become a farce.
Looking at these photos the condition of XL391 is getting worse by the day, it must be getting very close to the stage where it is considered a “dangerous structure”.
Excuse my ignorance here but why is planning permission required to display this or any other static aircraft on private land ?
Oh and 14 to discuss if the money spent on the lightbulb might have been better spent elsewhere.
Plus 1 to post loads of threads inviting people to join a “cool new and updated lightbulb forum”, that turns out to be a copy of another lightbulb forum.
Just noticed the Little Gransden, website has been updated with the 2005 aircraft list added.
Highlights include the BBMF and several aerobatic types.
I guess it comes down to importance, and it seems the Vulcan as a type is not considered by most as very important. All I have ever read on this forum about Vulcans is people saying how neglected the survivors are, or photos of them being cut up. So I guess the public at large don’t give a monkeys about what happens to them like they would a Lancaster or as you suggest a Stirling, which the public might get behind to save because they did so much more for the world.
Yes some 1 or 2 survivors are neglected, but plenty of people are doing their best to keep examples in either static or taxing condition. The public would like a flying Vulcan just look at the amount donated to XH558 or XL426 back when VRT’s long term aim was to fly it again, not forgetting the amount of donations made to that **** who claimed he was going to by XM655 and fly it to Kemble for a rebuild. The **** behind this story set up the XM655 association to raise cash for this fake project.
Oh and spending the 60’s as part of the nuclear deterrent seems rather important to me, as does taking part in the Falklands war.
We should remember that people have a right to spend their money on what they want, not on what people feel is a better or more deserving project.
