Oh well I’ll be in the pub 2morrow night so who knows I might this time manage to walk of the premises as at the weekend I crawled out 🙂
Is this really the safest way to warm ones hands up 🙂
Just an idea but is their any chance of setting up a memorial at Duxford or somewhere to remember everyone who has lost their lives at air shows in the last few years ?
Nothing ott just a nice fountain or even a tree but somewhere to go and remember the people who lost their lives doing displays for us.
The idiot has now been to my house asking me to help him get his job back.
Like they say their’s always one.
So some **** buys a house right next to an active airfield and now is slowly getting all the flying stopped because he don’t like aeroplanes.
Words fail me.
Still a few weeks back they looked so nice.
Airworthy or Static the more the merrier 🙂
Thanks buccsociety
Also can you provide a date for the first 2005 taxi runs day at Brunty ?

Agreed Bae Systems could – but not a civilian operator with Bae’s backing. XR724’s ferry flight was undertaken as a military flight even though it had a civil reg.
The ferry flight mentioned above caused a serious rift between BAE and the CAA as the CAA stated that their was no way a Lightning was going to fly again in the UK and then BAE went over the CAA and made the flight.
The CAA were not amused but their was nothing they could do about it.
Yes Adwebber you can fly a Jet Provost on a PPl.
No need to dust it I’ll just say it has a “used look”
If BAE Systems wanted to operate a Lightning under their own name then the CAA could do sod all about it.
Thats how they got XP924 to Brinbrook by signing the jet over to BAE to make the ferry flight.
Their is an F6 at Warton thats still complete and has no major corrosion.
Any BAE managers looking at this thread (Hint hint cough cough).
Thanks both of you I have just had another go after using your advice and I’m fairly pleased with the results.
Its nice you finally got the Brick moved best of look with the restoration.
3 Bucc’s taxing in the same place at the same time is a nice thought 🙂
Hi Dave
Their was a dismantled plane that being delivered while I was their today what was this ?
I have always wanted to get my PPL when I am older but I am now seriously thinking about going for it next year so you might be seeing a load more of me down at Egginton 🙂
