As a second choice what about the Lancaster flying in Canada. Get it over here and display it with PA747.
Having 2 Lancs flying together would be a breathtaking sight and sound.
I would to see the J-32 Larsen that still fly’s in Sweden come over to the UK.
I cannot see any major issues with it flying here as its not as complex as the Sea Vixen and the CAA allow G-CVIX to fly.
A couple of times in this thread people have mentiond that the Shack cannot fly here due to the fact that a respar would be required.
Would it be possible to do a PA747 style respar I am talking from a technical point of view here as I understand the cost would be about £5 million. (Lotto funding time again maybe 🙂 )
Their seems to be plenty of activity with XS458 these days.
Nice to know its being so well looked after 🙂
XS458 looks very nice now its had a repaint.
Anyone remmber a game called Tornado Ground Attack for the Atari St that was fun and I still have a copy along with loads of other Atari St stuff.
Also were some good ones on the Amiga 1200.
I might have to have a look on e-bay and try to get hold of an Amiga and an Atari just for a luagh.
I have contaced his webhosts to complain about the site and its content,I have kept it all pleasant and reasonable so maybe they will take action.
I wont e-mail the **** himself as after the day I have had I would proberly go very ott.
Their was a Canberra (RAF) spotted in that area yesterday. Could this have been the plane in question ?
I have edited my post here as the one I made earlier was a bit over the top.
Hi MOFT
What I meant was saying they have the only remaining Vulcan could cause people not to take seriously any fund raising attempts by other Vulcan groups.
Also must feel a bit of insult to those working on the other Vulcan’s.
I don’t think getting the ASA involved is necessary.
I have contacted VTS to explain the problems with the new advert and its only fair we give them time to make a satisfactory response before getting any 3rd party’s involved.
Also my support for this project remains 100% I just don’t want to see other Vulcan projects undermined by VTS sending out wrong data.
Also their is a T7 under rebuild with the Meteor flight down at Yaelsbury.
OFMC have an F8 in store but it wont fly again as the airframe has to much corrosion on it.
No your missing the point.
It was VTS themselves that made 2 seriously inaccurate statements regarding their own project.
Now I have supported 558 fro the last 11 years but I have to say this is not acceptable.
I often talk to someone who is highly involved with the rebuild and operation of classic jets and I quote from our conversation last weekend
One of our biggest problems is public ignorance often caused by untrue “facts” being reported.
Yet here we have VTS one of the most high profile groups putting misleading statements in their own adverts.
It would be nice to still have the Meatbox but on saying that we have 1 flying in the UK and a second one under rebuild so the Seafire would be my choice as I have never seen one fly.
For crying out loud grow up.
I was trying to raise the point that VTS have seriously messed up with their latest adverts and you have chosen to act like a 3 year old.
Hopefully I should be able to make improvements to the Nimrod donwload as their are several points that need sorting.
