A few years away but the Beaufighter is one I am really looking foward to.
The Seafire at Kennet should fly later this year 🙂
Their was a rumor that this Concorde was going to be put in a glass cube.
still it must be a nice advert for BA sitting like that in New York.
The one Concorde that was causing the most worry last autumn was the one in Barbados but that seems to be getting treated better than most other examples.
Hi David
I feel the the Nimrod AEW3 section is also “of national importance”.
The Nirmord AEW3 was a massive program that would have made us one of only a few county’s in the world to produce our own Awack type plane should it have been a success.
Not only that but it was one of the last big UK projects produced by us alone.
While its nice to keep examples of our big post war success’s ie the Bucc Lightning and Vulcan etc its also important to keep examples of things that never worked out in 25 years or whatever they will still be a part of our past.
Anyway thanks for the photos Flood.
The last 100 years have plenty of examples of things under development for airforces etc have caused reports of UFOs etc.
Examples include
Pre ww1 scareship’s and airship like things floating in mid air are most likely linked into the development of military airships.
late 1940’s reports of UFOs joining up with motherships at night often were seen close to base’s that were tasting in flight refueling.
late 70’s early 80’s reports of black triangles were most likely Have Blue or F-1117 development or training or whatever.
Mid 90s+ loud sonic booms etc linked into hypersonic flight development etc.
Its not some big thing its just things being developed thats all and it still goes on even now things are being tested and deployed that we don’t know about and people report UFOs or whatever but its not that at all.
I know someone who claims to have seen a black project land at waddo and they are not into aircraft at all yet the details they gave me are very similar to the latest reports of new developments etc.
Hi Skybolt
As display director can you tell us how many people are flying into the show this year ?
Will it be worth getting their early to photo whatever is flying in ?
Intresting point Moggy.
Also if 44 sqd had not pushed so hard and bent a few rules back in the mid 60’s PA747 would have ended up in Hendon and we would not have had a Lanc flying in the UK.
Also what would have happened to Sugar if the BBMF Lanc had made it to Hendon ?
The example at Cosford was at one time considered suitable to get flying but dispite the fact this would never happen some fool decided to slash loads of its wiring.
If TSR2 had made it into the RAF and had a decent production run it makes you wonder what we might have been building in 2004.
Has anyone seen that big Victor model that often takes part in the Brunty Events ?.
It looks very nice and makes a good noise as well 🙂
I will be their and it will be the first time I have been to Little Gransden so I hope its a good day.
Should be a nice chilled out day all being well.
The comment calling us a bunch of prats was posted on the UKAR forum.
The aforementioned post has now been deleted by a moderator of said forum.
Yeah I agree 100% with you dhfan this forum is the best of its kind and if my other post on this thread seems a bit harsh then I apologize.
Yeah anyone would think their database had an error 🙂
Still you get that with these expensive and “stable” forums.
I have had some free forum systems running for years with no problems at all.

Just remembered a classic from Waddo a couple of years back.
Early on the Saturday was standing near the Vulcan having a coffee and this bloke gets in a right state about missing the Vulcan arrive on Friday. His M8 trys in vain to tell him the Vulcan in question last flew 20 years back but this guy will have none of it.
Then after about 5 minutes of this the **** puts the cherry on the cake and announces that he will pull a sicke on Monday to see the Vulcan fly out.
What an absolute ******.
I just hope the “sit outside” brigade that were evident in many of the small events held at Kemble over the years are happy with the results of their work.
Nice one you selfish idiots 😡
