I am far to far from Brunty to be able to help but I hope you can find some people who can.
Hi all
A B-17 would make quite a mess if it crashed; I don’t see anybody arguing against operating one of them…
As would a Lancaster or a Nimrod or an A-Wack yet all these types fly over a good number of us on a regular basis without us all getting in a mad panic.
While Kev-35 makes a good point about the potential for a Vulcan crash to wreck the airshow world the very same risk is their with regards to a B-17 etc should one ever come down over a built up area I can see the press having a field day about “worn out old planes being flown just for fun”.
Anyway the main priority with the CAA is safety and I’m conceived that they will have made a through list of all whats ifs and the potential for anything to go wrong and they must be satisfied that all reasonable steps have been taken to prevent anything going wrong before they even consider giving a COA.
As far as I know Marham does not have a gate garud so could the above mentioned Canberra be suitable for a gate garud ?
What condtion is their Vulcan (XM575) in at the minute ?
Its a few years since I last went to the Aeropark but I should be their in early August so will get photos of everything and post them on here.
Your Tornado photos are nice 🙂
Probably best as I remember being at our Bournemouth site for a few hours and the Sea Vixen did about 6 circuits and that was my lunch hour done but better than spending it in the staff room.

What a good place to have your office right near Cranfield but when the place gets busy I bet you wanna go outside and watch it all.
If only I could have my office and job moved next to Kemble 😉
Its a shame to see your going from these forums as I have enjoyed the photos and info you have posted over the last year.
I hope to see you back on here soon.
The plan is to taxi WT333 at some point in the future.
I think BuccSociety will be able to provide more info on how long it will be until it can taxi.
Talking off night runs the Lightning Association at Brinbrook did a night run on XP724 last summer their are some photos on this forum if you search for them.
Thanks everyone 🙂
Hi Peter
That Lightning section you mentioned sounds like the one that the AALO have or did have at Brunty.
Or it could be something to do with the group rebuild various Lightning sections into a ground running T5.

The Sea Hawk last flew back in 97 so it will be nice to get it back again.
They have had it ground running a few times in the last few months with all systems working very well 🙂
Had a good luck at everything today and its not as bad as it looked.
That Bucc model just needs a new fuel probe and the u/c doors sticking back on again.
Thankfully an F-86 model that has a fair bit of sentamental value is undamaged so thats nice 🙂
Their are quite a few that just need bombs or little bits stickign back on etc but their is a Sea Harreir that cost £11 and ruinned and I only got it 3 months back.
Anyway if anyone is intrested I will post some more photos once everything is fixed up again.
Papa Lima I got the C.D. today thank you for that I have been enjoying that today so thanks again.
Thanks everyone for the reply’s here it seems to be a bad weekend for model planes hope you can fix that Mossie soon neilly.
Will have to start fixing all mine tomorrow I have had a good look at them and most just need a good hour each to get them looking nice again.
Anyway I have been telling my cat it is to patrol the garden and if that cat from next door shows up then chase it off 🙂
I have treated myself to a Vulcan K2 model today so that should be here soon to replace 2 that are 2 ****ed up to save.
