As for any plan for moving her to Duxford what exactly would that achieve? I cannot believe the team that restored the Vulcan already there would be too chuffed at the idea

Have to agree with this the Duxford Vulcan (XJ824) is one of only 2 Vulcan’s kept inside yet if they get 558 they would most likely scrap 824 and this is one of the best Vulcan’s around.

If it goes anywhere I suggest Yorkshire Air Museum if they try to get rid of 824 at Duxford we should all contact them and send letters/e-mails and make it clear we do not want them to scrap a good Vulcan.

To be honest I cannot see the point of sending 603 to Manchester.

Yorkshire air museum would be a better place for it however is it possible to dismantle a Vulcan and then rebuild and run it it would be a shame if moving 603 meant it was no longer able to run.

They have been trying to get 603 for a while hope they do as it seems BAE don’t care what happens to it.

In the early 90s they were helping out the 603 club alot and their was talk that it might fly again then they lost all interest and health and safety had a field day about it being full of fuel.

Well now it just sites their rotting and thats a big shame.
