I had the honour to meet Buck Compton on a few occasions, he was a fine gentleman. My thoughts are with his family, friends and the surviving members of Easy who have had to say goodbye to a fair few of their members in the last year or so.

Would advise caution with e-bay as well. I know of a few cases where someone bought an item, paid for it through Paypal, item didnt arrive, seller’s paypal account blocked/closed , item appeared for re-sale as seller claimed non receipt of funds. Dont think it was ever sorted out.

The reverse could happen very easily to your friend, goods sent , non receipt claimed, money refunded by paypal, seat missing !

Sad thing to say in this age but the old methods of C.O.D are best !

Fully endorse what has been said here about the tragedy that occured 30 years ago as well as the courage of those who put their lives on the line to save those in peril on the seas. Their’s is a special kind of courage.
