Saturday July 24th 1990 i think it was, well the flight would of been around 10pm, i do remember a blue interior and the aircraft been a narrow body. The following year in 1991 i went to same hotel in Benidorm but that was an airtours md83, i remember that for certain. Barcelo Peublo was the hotel in Benidorm.

Sunworld holidays 1990’s

Which airline operated charters for Sunworld holidays back in the early 90’s to Alicante from Manchester before Airtours. I flew MAN- Alicante in 1990 on a night flight and thinking of possible airlines it may of been back then.

My best are

1) Airtours international 1991-1995 with the big A on the tail.
2) Britannia Airways 1980’s-2000’s.
3) MyTravel 2002-2007.
4) Continetal Airlines.
5) Virgin Atlantic.

My worst are

1) Peach air.
2) Air Scandic.
3) Spanair.
4) Jet4you.
5) Hapag Fly.

Best and worst aircraft (flown on)

My best are.

1) L1011 (Smooth, comfertable and still should be flying)
2) 737-800 (Nice aircraft to fly on especially the Thomson ones)
3) 757-200 (Best take off sound there is)
4) 777-200 (Nice roomy modern planes)
5) A330-200 (Nice large aircraft)

My worst are

1) A300 B4 (Very cramped)
2) A321 (Never will be the 757)
3) 767-200 (Too cramped and badly layed out)
4) md83 (Too long and too thin)
5) 767-300 (The 2-4-2 on charter flights is awfully cramped)

L1011’s

I watched a film passenger 57 and noticed that L1011’s have lifts onboard and they make use of the underneath section of the aircraft.
Never really noticed this before.

What happened to 737-800 G-FDZT that was suppose to be arriving ?
Are they repainting anymore a/c before the summer.

Did they have any MD83’s operating perminant flights from MAN last summer ?
