Love MON 330’s lucky enough to have been on one myself.
Why do they keep 06R/24L shut for a few hours and also has there ever been much 06R departures.
I hate Ryanair, they just seem seem so boring and plain.
Easyjet are ok, but i think JET2 are winners.
Scariest moment on a flight: Turbulance on descent into Monastir due to thunderstorms back in 1995 on a BY 757.
Most memorable moment on a flight: Has to be the Monarch A300 take off from Tenerife to Manchester, it started spooling on the threshold.
Best airline meal/what it was: Thomsonfly REU-MAN last summer, so much was given and the breakfast was fantastic.
Worst meal: Probably on a Spanair MD83 MME-TFS i only ate the bread role.
Worst airport visited: Reus, only about 4 check in desks, very slow and a complete shambles of an airport.
Best airport visited: Manchester, the place has a great atmosphere to it.
Friendliest cabin crew: BA MAN-JFK
Rudest crew: Monarch MAN-TFS
Im sure the England team used to use BA 777’s on short hops up until recently. Im sure they went on a 777 to Portugal.
Most flown type: Boeing 757 (Air 2000, Airtours, Britannia x2, Monarch)
Most flown airline: Britannia/Thomsonfly x6 (may of been even more flights in younger days) closely followed by Airtours/My Travel x4.
Most flown route: MAN-TFS-MAN 4 times
Most visited UK airport: Manchester 17 times
Most visited foreign airport: Tenerife South 7 times
Currently booked flight that you’re most looking forward to: MAN-RHO going on a Monarch 757 again.
If that is the case i maybe able to see sunrise on approach to Greece 😀
Many passengers wouldnt of even noticed to be honest
I don’t think many people know a/c types.
Old aircraft are more prone to delays than newer a/c.
Yes but the North’s low cost airline could change. Look at Easyjet they started in Luton, Ryanair started in Ireland etc i see no reason why they wouldnt want to expand down south.
Maybe in the future.
Are Monarch’s 757s prone to delays.
Would love some Monarch shots.
So will the sun be setting on ground when im flying over Italy or will i see it in the air over Italy.
Quite difficult working out the physics.
I must say i do love seeing sunsets on flights.
But what about sun rises. I enjoyed the one on way back from Cuba.
Why don’t JET2 try and expand down south, maybe they could get Manston going again or even Southend.
Which country will i be going over when i hit sunset, and im guessing the process is speeded up whilst flying eastwards.
