    So my flight is roughly 2 and a half hours of light and 1 and a half hours of darkness.

    Why do the Government always use BA, why not cheaper alternatives like Monarch, MyTravel or FlyJet 😮
    Also what did Mr Major and Mrs Thatcher use.

    1 hour departs MAN 18:20 arrives KOS 00:30.
    Departs KOS 01:30 arrives MAN 4:00.
    What is Kos airport like for anyone who has been.

    Yes but next summer there will be 4 extra flights, maybe if AEU also base an extra a/c part the week.

    I think if Astreaus take on extra flights next year for Leeds next summer they need a 2nd based a/c, the poor planes airmiles must be constantly clocking up all the time.

    Well im certain to see no other Monarch a/c or any Thomsonfly ones. Maybe mine could be an only one.

    Anyone ever flown over thunderstorm before, i did last year on way to Rhodes during the night on a Monarch 757. A saw roughly 2 flashes per second dotted around the sky, looked fantastic. Also seen lightning flashes on a flight to Tunisia about 11 years ago on a BY 757 also during the night.
    Lightning is the best feature to photograph.
    Anyway going back to topic, anyone done an evening flight to Greece, Cyprus or Turkey, departing around 18:00 in summer. Just a rough guess on sunset etc

    So when should the last glimpses of sun be during my flight.
    Never done a flight wherre half of it has been light, half of it been in darkness.
    Anyone done transatlantic in summer, if so share experiances of what the view is like.

    Last year pretty 21:45 departure, MAN-RHO sun was down basicaly after 15 minutes. Flew over Germany, Croatia, Bosnia etc.

    I am quite pleased i will get to see sunset during my flight. Going to request a right sided seat so i can take some photos to share with you lot.
    Just hope flight isn’t delayed :confused:
