When you say ordinary still camera do you mean good old fashioned film still’s or digital stills ? I’m still in the film age with my trusty old Nikon F.3 and FM.2
Some great pics of her arrival at Woodford on Ringway reports…

Strikes me that what we need is a definitive list of the airframes… with fates and/or current status… at least the AEW3’s should be easy to deal with…

Ps: will post some before and after pics of XZ282 as soon as i get the scanner working again…!
Awesom pics of it landing at Woodford.I wonder if they closed the golf club road off for the landing ? Wish i was not working, weather has been perfect up here this week 🙁
Yes subject to wind direction……..
also AN124 UR82007 now due Waddo @ 1000z

Pity it’s a week day ! That work thing gets in my way of enjoying all things large and Antonov shaped 🙁
The real mystery is why you were watching a Westlife video!!:D
My thoughts too ! If i were that way inclined in a musical taste type of way i would not admit to such a taste in public 😀
Waddington’s ‘non-flying’ MR.2 is due to take to the air again on Tuesday morning, albeit in the belly of an An-124. Presumably another potential airframe for MR.4A conversion.
Police are closing the main A15 road between 11.45 and 12.15 to allow the Antonov to taxy out for departure safely, as the wing is expected to overhang the perimeter fence !
Does that mean Woodford will be getting a big visitor later that day ????
It seems a shame to me that free public access to the aircraft wasn’t one of the conditions for being given a Concorde. Access to Duxford is only £2.95 more expensive than this single aircraft tour.
My thoughts too ! Thats why i will not pay to go in when a full day at Duxford including Concorde is better value !
Further to my list of aircraft pieces…….or clutter as my better half calls it ! here are photo’s of my bit’s and pieces.
The dials came from the Failsworth aircraft dump and the Prop blade from a farm field in Cheshire somewhere.

I also have a wooden propeller blade in my dining room but i do not know what that came off,all i know was it was going to be used by a farmer for fence posts along with many others 😮 My Dad saved that for me but i do not know what/where/who he got it from 🙁
Looks cool in the house though and it is a talking point !
I also have some dials and a false horizon from aircraft from the famouse Failsworth dump which my Uncle gave to me,not sure what they came off but i had fun as a kid playing fighter pilot in the Firefly cockpits !
I have a fan blade off XM607….or so it says on the sticker on the base.Bought it years ago at i think Mildenhall.
Stunning ! Russian VC-10 😀
It was over my house too,American schemed jobby.Got a good view because i was on my back under my car !
So the Vodka advert was correct in showing aircraft coming up from the deep ! It would be amazing to have long lost aircraft filling gaps in museums……Manchester’s,Stirlings ect
🙁 My Grandparents also worked there building Lancs in the war and my Grandad carried on afterwards on the Vulcan….real shame, pity there is no memorial to the workers and the great aircraft that came from the site.
Amazing to think that the BBC or ITV local TV news in Manchester did not cover the return to flight of the one of the most impressive aircraft ever built at Woodford, The Vulcan bomber! 😡
I totally agree !!! Just news on rubbish and nothing mentioned on Manchesters finest 😡 😡 Sky news was also a nightmare,we have a big TV in the showroom and all i kept catching was Pakistan,BBC cutbacks and something about a football game going tit’s up AAAAAHHHH !
Kids have now seen their great grandads plane tonight on TV and i have told them we will see it soon for real !
