Frankly, why discussing this subject, as it is impossible to discuss it in a quiet way?
Especially with the people, from both sides, seeing everything full white or full black, repeating “ad nauseam” almost scripted thinkings.
My modest opinion : everything about this subject is grey, grey, grey!
Thanks for the info.
Beautiful pics and beautiful Mustang : you can’t go wrong with natural metal 😀
Where is this P-51 based ?
How many murmurings of Swiss banks stopping dealing with and freezing the assets of US businesses and individuals would it take before any US resistance to a particular Swiss action (given it’s hardly going to be an invasion of Florida or similar) dries up?
What is quite funny as probably only 2% of non state taxed US money is supposed to be in Swiss banks, the 98% of the rest being in British, French or Bahamas banks or even in Delaware !!!
When are those F-18 supposed to be retired approximately ?
around 2030.
Just curious, is it legal to violate the airspace of a country with which one is not at war ?
A P-40 with a shark mouth.
That’s original :diablo:
Hawker Sea Fury ….
Impossible.
Asymetric elements on an aircraft are just ugly by nature (wings radiators on the Sea Fury).
Situation in Syria is a little bit more complicated than “evil dictator against his own people” or “bad guys against good guys”.
It’s just a civil war.
And if Assad is probably not the most sympathetic guy in the area, the guys in front of him (mostly Islamist gangs armed by Quatar and by probably the usual countries defending frrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeedom around the world) look also not very sympathetic.
Btw, in the free Irak of today, 130 dead people by terrorist attacks since 13th of June.
Free Lybia has also sunk in some kind of black hole.
So, please, have a stop with nice stories of bad buys against good guys, reality is not an Hollywood tv show.
P.S. nice pic of the Egyptian Mig, love the brown color of the camo !
Wow, 364 days of snow and rain in Finland 😉
Frankly, it is always a little bit sad to see such aircrafts “disappear” in the back of a museum space, wheels fixed, after restoration. A little bit like dead butterflies picked on a sheet of paper.
Beautiful aircraft and beautiful work.
As usual, wishing, when restoration work is finished, that the aircraft will stay on its wheels, still able to be towed outside for special occasions, and not fixed for ever in a museum corner !
Please, please, PLEASE, for one time, a Buchon in its original Spanish colors and not one more in fake Luftwaffe finish !
Are they in Germany some Mig’s and Sukhoi’s properly preserved, that means in their original colors, complete and still on their wheels ?
….but the collection has been known correctly as the Commemorative Air Force since 2002
Ah, ah, this is so sissy as a name.
Just for the fun, probably my preferred song of one of my preferred singers :
And in twenty years, be sure, US military authorities of that time will cry in despair, because some dumbasses in 2012 destroyed the assembly lines tools and lost most of the aircraft plans.
