Hi Charley, Hi Fred,
I found those pictures in my attic,
Jacques SANTI (one of the two main actors) in his strato suite
+ Jacques SANTI & Christian Marin (the two main actors + unknown)
Enjoy,
Olivier
Hi Charley,
“Aeronauts” must be “les chevalier du ciel” according to Google search.
Yes they are available on DVD (I will search for you latter , I’m at work now!!!)
About the cost, it was more for the tax payer than for the production, as the French Air Force and the army in general used this as “public relation” or “propaganda” .
Cheers,
Olivier
Been fond of the Vautour ever since seeing it in my “Aeronauts” annual. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the TV series? Doesn’t matter if it’s in French; I can usually understand French TV.
Hi Charley,
Do you mean “les chevalier du ciel” ?
Cheers,
Olivier
Do those tail wheels look a little high, or is it just my imagination?
Looks correct Andy,

I was sure that I still have one somewhere, just remember that it was, at least for me, the best one and that’s why it was framed on my wall.
So just for you guys, the very last one “dam busters” photo of my modest collection… What a wallpaper for your PC…
enjoy,
Olivier
Hi Fred,
actually, I don’t know, those photos come from a factory file with no informations.
Cheers,
Olivier
My pleasure Colin, see I found another one !

Hi Cking, thank you for your compliments, will try do to my best as much as possible…
I know that various versions were used to test equipement, the last one flying (1996) for thomson csf (governmental company) testing the cyrano radar but as long as I know it isn’t a civil registration or a civil owner.

Looks very strange with the tail wheel 😮 . Maybe it was the only jet aircraft with tail wheel?
