As for airlines there’s obviously Aer Lingus A320/321’s & a load of ryanair’s.Other’s that night stop would be aer arann,Bmi,Malev,LOT,Eirjet.Based aircraft would include air contractors A300F’s & the odd ATR 42/72F,DHL & TNT both park aircraft up for the day.As for how many are actually on the ground,i’d say around 50 aircraft.

It’s strange decision to get rid of the A321’s,every service from LHR-DUB is with an A321,only the odd A320/319 service, doesn’t make sense to reduce capacity, especially as aer lingus have re-configured their A321’S for 212 seats.

I find the A321 a very nice aircraft to fly on,definitley my favourite, bmi & Aer Lingus aircraft are totally different inside though, bmi’s cabin is much nicer, altough aer lingus have re-vamped their’s with leather seats & increased seating to 212,since i went to majorca with them, must go on a spin over to LHR on one.

Yes that’s true, the fence ruins all shots of aircraft taking off from runway 28

As you can see it’s a good two feet higher than the old one.

The size of the aircraft is determined by what the customer wants, during new aircaft ventures, manufacturers ask the airlines what kind of aircraft they would like & in what configuration.Emirates is currently pushing boeing to stretch the 787,to make it the same size as a 777-200.

The engine blades on the LR look great,i wouldn’t like to stand in front of one of those.
