A picture with a known objective reference has already been provided, and it says a length odd 19-20 meters.
None of the pictures attempting to use trucks, tow bars, or wheel sizes provide any remotely credible evidence. You obviously are free to believe anything you want, it is entirely obvious that the J-20 is easily 22m long and ignoring the clear evidence in favor of tenuous comparisons with different objects at different scales does not change that.
Once again: the two images I provided do not give a precise estimation of the J-20’s length. They do clearly show that the J-20 is at least 10% longer than the F-22. If you want to deny that obvious fact, suit yourself.
You might want to try properly scaling the height of people in that picture first before passing judgement. I seriously have trouble believing that the people in the J-20 picture are that much taller than the people in the F-22 picture, especially since the average height in China is about 3 inches shorter than the average height in the US.
That’s fine. The F-22 is 19 meters long. Even if we assume that the J-20 and F-22 are the exact same scale in those two images, then the J-20 is about 22 meters long.
However, that is pretty obviously not the case. The guy closest to the F-22 (the one saluting) is clearly closer to the camera than the people nearest the J-20. Which means the F-22 is closer yet to the camera, which means the J-20 is even larger than the above estimate.
But the bottom line is that even without attempting to precisely scale the people in the photographs, it is quite clear the J-20 is significantly larger than the 19-meter F-22.
And please why ???
Actually I don’t want to take part on that guesswork, but IMO the calculation based on a truck standing beside it is much more “logical” that any comparison to “guessing” how tall a man besides, another fighter – as in Your case
The truck pictures are completely useless because the distance from the truck to the aircraft is not known. On the other hand the “man” comparison is very clear: in the case of the J-20 people are standing both in front of and behind the J-20, and several people are standing behind the F-22. Unless all Americans are giants in comparison to all Chinese people, the size relationship is completely obvious.
I am not claiming to have precisely measured the length of the J-20, but it is trivially obvious that the J-20 is quite a bit longer than the F-22.

The notion that the J-20 is only 20m long is absurd.
No, only US paricipate is 11 American aircrafts including six F-16CJs Falcons and five E/A-18G Growlers have been in action.
You’re only counting aircraft capable of conducting strikes. The U.S. contribution is still very substantial, including a number of tankers, E-8C JSTARS, E-3 AWACS, and several types of UAVs.
Phaid :
Looks like a GBU-16.
Yes , I think it is . Who is using it over Libya right now ?
I know the UK are using 1,000lb Paveways on their Tornados, not sure anyone else is (I believe France is using 500lb ones only). So I would guess it was British.
Looks like a GBU-16.
Here is video of the NATO air attack on the rebels on April 7. You can actually see the weapon and the moment of impact.

There was a report later on Thursday that a rebel leader had claimed the attack was actually carried out by an Aermacchi SF.260 belonging to the LARAF, however that has since been confirmed to be false. In any event NATO has admitted to and apologized for the attack.
Libyan rebels say NATO airstrikes hit their forces
AJDABIYA, Libya (AP) — Rebel fighters claimed NATO airstrikes blasted their forces Thursday in another apparent mistake that sharply escalated anger about coordination with the military alliance in efforts to cripple Libyan forces. At least two rebels were killed and more than a dozen injured, a doctor said.
What was that about Ray-Ban sunglasses?
MoD released footage of the results of Storm Shadow against a bunkered ammunition storage facility at Sabha, Central Libya. Other Coalition aircraft were also involved in the destruction of this complex.
The other aircraft were a pair of B-1s.
Does Luftwaffe still have mothballed Phantoms, or where would thes 20 frames come from?
The Luftwaffe still operates Phantoms. They are based at Wittmund with JG 71.
Great strategy by the Arab League. They had to know what was coming in Libya, given the tenor of the UN resolution, in particular the above clause. Now they think they can say, “Well, we tried to help you, but look at how the West screwed things up!” Wash their hands clean of the whole thing before even one of their aircraft takes off, and then go back to subjugating their own citizens. What a bunch of low-life scum.
Absolutely, it’s a win-win for them. If we did nothing, then they can sit back and say “look how the West is ignoring the carnage in Libya”. If we act, then they can sit back and say “look how the West is causing carnage in Libya”. Either way, it gets them out of the crosshairs and gives their citizens someone else to rail against.
My Guess is that the Harriers will need a Land Base within Theater somewhere in the desert donβt know if that technically violates NO TROOPS ON THE GROUND but this is SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
That is by no means standard procedure.
BFMTV reports the Armee de L’air states all of their aircraft returned safely to base.
sorry, but i’m don’t understand. St Dizier is like 2200km away from Bamghazi. Why are Rafales flying all the way from there to patrol the sky? They have ablut 3000km range. Right? Even with in air refueling, its a grueling flight.
Why not just use carriers?
The only French carrier is still in port in Toulon, due to set sail tomorrow.
