Looking at that picture makes you wonder how the flight crew perished..the cockpit looks fairly intact!
Are you joking? Look at it. Its embedded into the side of a hill. Everything below the windows is crushed in which means all the flight consoles etc would have ended up where the pilots sit and i think alot of us know its not as easy to get out of those seats as it looks, especially in an emergency.
I imagine the pilots were crushed to death by the consoles etc. RIP.
Saw footage on BBC Website a few days (or hours unsure which) after the incident. Interesting story about it on BBC presently.
But why cant FR buy EI yet LH can buy BD
Irish Pride!
I think BAA have been out of the media light because of the baggage scandel that BA have had on/off for the last 3(?) years? Also I think because the initials are the same it helps with BAA becoming BA in slip of the tongue!
I was very surprised that they had not staggered passengers more into the new system. If it was me based on the knowledge i have from internet I would have transfered some domestic first then the rest then medium haul then long haul.
Reason for it would be to test the biometic system passengers have to go through due to mixed departure lounge. I.e. If there there is a system failure because there is only domestic passengers, they can still fly without causing them delay. This would allow BA/A time to check the system for what the fault is and respond.
Then once that was complete start phasing the flights in on a destination by destination basis. Ramp Rats would then have time to settle in and find where they are going etc.
I can understand why the Ramp Rats are not able to find baggage collection points etc. When my company was incharge of overseeing the IKEA opening in Belfast, we sent staff around the site to make sure they knew the layout entirely. With T5 I imagine this would not be possible as I they would not be allowed to walk the site to find their own way due to security reasons? Pilots have it easy for new places as they have lines and signposts to guide them. Someone who is driving about underneath the terminal would easily get lost as im sure its a complex “rat run” (for want of a better phrase:D )
LOL I have to say this is quite amusing. After 6 months of testing, we still dont get it right! I wonder if it will EVER be smooth?
Its always bmi for ff miles then Jurys Doyle for “matress” miles. You cant beat Jurys Doyle South Kensington!
Lets keep topics relevent please….😉
There is a difference between a mystery illness and one which has not been told to the media yet…
No conspiracy of silence…I’m guessing Boeing hasn’t even ordered anyone killed to keep quiet.
How would we know? They wouldnt exactly be able to say “Boeing killed me”!;)
I’m sure the above replies answer your question for now Tommy?
Its only a coincidence. The 777 is a very safe aircraft in my opinion.
Remember the problem DC10’s had.
Any which degree in Aeronautical Engineering do you have?
The route can be anything from a 757 to A300.
Is that not the answer to your question???
So what times this happening tomorrow?
0400-0600 😀
Phone me…
One of my friends used to be a Cabin Crew for Austrian Airlines. They were flying an A320 one day and water started to build in the end (nearest galley) overhead bins. They were able to remove items from Overhead Bins and to an extent isolate it in the Overhead Bins (it didnt drip down). On landing because the water had such a large mass it completley drenched the galley and crew when the reverse thrust kicked in!
You can still count me in 😎
Do we have to? :diablo:
