Bemused since it was in Belly of Plane surely the passenger cabin is not comprimised and just cargo would be. I would imagine a screw drivers shafts length wouldnt be that longer than the internal fuse’ thickness probably not even long enough to go all the way through
Mmm unless damaging something such as avionics bay would there really be a chance of it crashing? THey probably annouced this before a “The Sun” style attack on the airline so as to have the media on their side.

Nice pics, although that meal does not look very appetising!

Also people seem to fall from aircraft a few times each year. Most recent being into someones house near Paris when the 747(?) lowered the landing gear.
Also has happened at Singapore i believe. Illegal Immigrants are the cause and usually from third world countries where very few security measures around aircraft

Danairboy.
Absolutely disgraceful! And no Devonshire cream teas served either.
How much is air passenger duty? I don’t know how much it is. And how much is covered by airport taxes? Is there a set rate? Does it vary from airport to airport or regionally? How much covers security? Are there other variables which should be taken into account? How much is levied by the CAA and how much by the airport?
When you’ve answered all the questions above we might just have a chance of deciding just how ‘disgraceful’ it is.

I cant find a breakdown on flybe website it just says, under a “Charges” hyperlink beside the amount, that they are made up from tax and airport charges etc.

Then why is easyJet £23 for tax and Ryanair is the same. Jet seem to charge £15 and bmibaby charge £27.
Why does flybe have to charge more…
