LOL an airport should have a big spray machine that sprays the under belly while just about to land to clean them. Would be needed at any airport Air France fly to so big demand 😀
I think it may be allowed to get slightly worse but your medical has to be recertified every 2 years and 1 year when your aged 50 or over.
There is an older guy up at EGAA who wore slightly thick glasses.
thats the Welsh for you 😀
I thought there were monkeys on ropes attached to wings cleaning the outside during flight!
Learn something new everyday!
Seriously thru, if you look when you are very high (where it obv. is very very cold) you can see the inward side of the outside pane of glass starting to get condensation on it but not that much but due to the heat from the aircraft there is never much on it as the heat radiates through the “double glazing” and stops it getting really misted up. Some small patches form as it is extremly cold outside and the around 23 degrees centigrade of the interior isnt warm enough to stop it completly.
Well i have glasses but in one i just have 18/20 compared to full vision of 20/20 which I am told is fine 🙂 Two ATCO’s at EGAA wore glasses and one was in his training newly arrived from Bournemouth!
You seem, no matter if nats or private airport atc, to have fun all the time and you do get a social life! Even at the college everyone goes to the same pub and takes it over as there are several courses which are like school years such as 1st form, 2nd form, etc.
The order is:
Aerodrome 1
Aerodrome 2
Aerodrome 3
Radar 1
Radar 2
Radar 3
Approach 1
Approach 2
Approach 3
Area 1
Area 2
Area 3
Out of the i think 30 or 40 odd in each year 12 go to do Approach instead of Aera and these people will be posted at airports around the UK whereas the majority will do Area and usually end of at Swanick where there are still ALOT of terminals not being used!
If you suck up to teachers you can get on Approach sometimes but I dont mind what I do but yes I would rather be at an Airport in a control tower doing Approach, Tower and Ground if used!
since when was Dublin not real 😀
id say 😀 means ur right

Dublin is very good for Aircraft Spotting!
If you want landing/takeoff pictures hop in a taxi is the best way and for £2 they will take u to the viewing “hills” along the permetre parallel with the runway.
Then if it changes £0.50 gets u down to the other end by Runway 10 threshold. (Taxis run all day long here every 1 min or so ull get about 5 as main road back to dublin)
£2/3 back to the terminal from there.
It is very cheap for the distance you go and the walk is VERY VERY long from the terminal and takes 30mins!
Not sure of car directions but if you ask th Garda (police) they are friendly and will direct you.
In the terminal very limited views apart from the McDonalds window which shows the Aer Lingus Bae146 stands, Aer Arrann and to an extent the ryanair 732 stands.
Right thats it ive had enough of this sh*t. Airports around the UK (expect MAN) are going buck mad to stop spotting and the biggest culprit is BAA obv.
Who is up for creating/joining a group which will try and make it more pleasent and spotter fiendly at airport.
I think will hundreas on board people will listen to us!
(There has to be around 2,000 civilian aircraft spotters in the UK at least or who else buys AW hehe)
Whos with me. I think we could do something to make some airports see sence but we just would need the numbers.
Thomas Cook – most of Ryanair have gay men so if ur calling them good looking…
Phone the hotel and send them payment desposit in the post. Pratically all hotels except chains like Holiday will do this for you
