RE: Discovery Wings channel on TV

I think it is good but the shows like Airshow! are 1997 ish air shows and the program isnt that uptodate!! I liked the program about Mark Stevenson building his own plane. It was a series about him getting a PPL and building a kit plane at the same time. It is showing in reruns. They have moderate amount of Airforces stuff but lots of Commerical!!

Hehe my mums friend is in charge of Discovery Europe and he gives me sneek previews of programs on the channel and asks my opinion:):)

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-10-02 AT 09:43 AM (GMT)]Hehe if all Pilots drink before flights I beg to wonder what low cost pilots are like because their airlines make them do as many hours as possible. Would they be then more drunk thean a BA pilot perhaps then if they all drank before flights since the low cost would do more flights per day!!

KELTIC IS RIGHT, all pilots drink before flights. Mine drank a bottle of water once and another time he had a coffee!!

Miami was a series. It ran for a few months after Airport UK had finished. It was very interesting seeing what happens across the pond. I think I am right.

    There was Lagos as well!!!

RE: 180° reclining seat for every passenger?

I do disagree with A330’s comments. I cant comment on the structure as there is no living model but I would say that it looks very sturdy.

I am sure the CAA,JAA or FAA would approve such as design ONLY if it was secure enough in a cabin.

I am sure a seatbelt with three points (same as cars) will not get in way of sleeping as I have slept in the car a few times on the road!! Perhaps it would be wise to have a pull down shutter?

Finally, it is a generally good idea but the only flaw, as I said, could be the enginerring of it using light materials as surly it would ahve to weigh the same as a normal seat to make it viable weight wise but how do the crew serve meals to the third level in a 747?

Mind you I would hope there was a window seat available for one of these in Economy but it there wasnt this might safe money as they dont need to install Windows!

Maybe an airliner crazy enough for this is Virgin Atlantic as they are putting a Gym on the A380!

    RE: A Career in Aviation?

I already have lost 50% of it and I am told it shouldnt affect my chances of becoming a pilot due tp the fact that it was the lowest level of it you can get to start with and due to the fact I is still getting less and less.

CAA already asked a guy my dad was on a course with and he said he didnt think that due to me having such a low level it would stop me getting a Class A Medical.

ALl i wanted to know was if BA did operate this scheme i think i red about in a SBAC leaflet!! Enough of my medical history!!

    LGKR,

Those are some of the symptoms but I do not have those list. Everyone with aspergers syndrome has different symptoms

    RE: A Career in Aviation?

Does this mean English A level aint needed cos I dont wanna take it. I do want to do Maths and Physics as they kinda are my thing but probably might do ICT or Business Studies as my third. Would ICT help due to the fact you are using it all the time when you fly a plane?

Also, I was told that British Airways have a sponsorship scheme for people with disabilites (only some) to train to become a pilot with them. Is this true as this would be good for me as then they might train me as i have Aspergers Syndrome.

I would have thought that since you need stairs to get down that would take up more seat space than good for airlines. Do only charter airlines like Airoturs have this or have any major airlines?

    RE: Painting Mistakes

Nah it has gotta be the curve of the aircraft as if you look they are all slanting downwards as the W is starting to slant. They would allow it outta paint shop with shoddy work i am sure they would inspect it and if it was letters peeling off they why would the W started off normal and then start to slant!!

    Think people think!!

East Midlands and Cardiff for bmibaby. Might be the first to grow into Heathrow but I would doubt it due to the fact of the air bridge price being so high for low-cost.

I would say Southampton might appeal to them. Then there always is Guernsey. Best place cos u cud have a hub there serviing the UK and France!!
