RE: Boeing 737 – Is it time to move on?
Why do they say you cant go beyond the -900 what about the -1000 maybe, it would be a world first and mayeb it could be a super-strected -900, lol :-), with 10 toilets, 4 snack bars, a swimming pool, 1 hotel. Sorry about that, started think about Airbus A380 lol, what a waste of seats, i mean 45% bigger floor area only 30% more seats, are Airbus wise in the head region??

RE: Boeing 737 – Is it time to move on?
Kabir, you are right.
BA use a few Airbus A319’s on routes that would also be suited to A319’s because they are nicer a/c to look at and to fly in. Low-cost use B737 because it is cheaper to run, can cram more pax in!:-o! and is more quiet than Airbus!
bmi here use Airbus A320 and boy do that make a noise when they take off from Belfast City, most complain! Me and my aviation lovin’ friends love the noise.
bmi are also rethinking about there decision to stop Belfast Internatinal routes as they have now reintroduced the Heathrow run from International leaving @ 7am from April and comming back around 8pm i think. But this is only going to be used until October with current plans:-(

RE: Newsletter
‘Flaps’ sounds good
‘Airwaves’ i like the sound of but maybe a bit like ‘Airways’?
‘Horizontal Stabiliser’ sounds ok
I was thinking of maybe something like:
‘Turbulance’
‘fly away!’
‘Come fly with me’
‘Aviation Scene’
I think i like ‘Turbulance’ in shaky writing!
Come on! Think Aviation, Think News, Think Boeing, Think Airbus,
AND THINK OF NAMES!

RE: Heathrow Question
I was over in BK Palace (:-)) in October and flew Belfast Intl -> Heathrow -> Belfast Intl on one of the last BA flights. I think it was terminal one as it was domestic. There was an amazing amount of traffic on this runway and i do remember that it is beside alot of residential house (mind you all of Heathrow is lol!)

RE: aua to kabul
WHo would fly to Afghanistan anyway. There isn’t much to do. There was a zoo but the animals have been taken away now!
I think it wouldn’t prove to be cost effective long-term unless Kabul and Afghanistan is on the most part re-built.

RE: Manx Airlines
British Euorpean still go there on some flights. Belfast -> IOM -> Gatwick -> IOM -> Belfast is one so they still have some service to London!
Also the Birmingham -> IOM -> Belfast -> IOM > Birmingham flight to belfast goes there as well if my memory serves me!

RE: Air-side Passes
Yes, you have to fill in a 3 page form about why you wnat to visit e.t.c. and a staff member will always be with you at all times. But really thats it!
I don’t suggest you try this at Heathrow or Gatwick e.t.c!!
