It’s actually allocated seating on JET2, which is one of the reasons I like them!

You should be fine on Ryanair. They’re as basic as you can possibly get, but they have their place and if you don’t set your expectations high, you won’t be disappointed! I’ve just looked at my flight list and I’ve notched up 32 flights with them so far. Scarey!

    Have a good trip!

    Paul

Just out of interest, how often would you say you had a problem with FR out of 32 times. By problem i mean any things that were not normal or delays over 40mins.

Just thought i would add this…. made me laugh….. as it was only the other day he cancelled his ski trip to the alpps to stop G/W

“”Prince Charles has sparked controversy by flying to America to pick up an environmental citizen of the year award.

Environment Secretary David Miliband said Charles should receive the prize via video-link rather than making a 7,000-mile round trip.””

My opinion on these sorts of things the media report is that the plane would have been going anyway and the amount of fuel required to transport the prince and camilla, in addition to the normal load, is genuinely not enough to kick off about especially if he normally travels by private jet!

Given he cancelled a ski holiday flight in order to take this trip, he has reduced his overall global warming contrabution as less fuel was used for just him! Im not saving i overly like the guy but unfair they target him like this.

How many hacks make pointless journeys to conventions or events across the world. I mean the BBC for their “Click” program (which i do like) sent three people to go to a Las Vegas Exposition. Given its a 20min program they could have covered all content with 1 person easily!

When I saw the title for this post i thought it meant there were firm orders for an A320-5000 model. (i.e. a new NG one)!

They have an onsite team as does any commerical airport (required by CAA).

They would bring in additional teams at request of the senior fire officer or like belfast city it might be built into plan for all emergency landings and includes police and ambulance.

    Lets get some clarification here:

Even with the SAS being in London call out times still apply. They have a base and travel to and from it, they do not work out of various locations.

In relation to the shooting of the brazilian, the police have their own firearms teams who were observing a premsies when Jean Charles de Menezes walked out and proceeded to the Tube Station.

Those staff acted fearing another bomb attack.

SAS would not have been able to deploy quick enough to deal with this situation and indeed it is not within their remit to do so when compared to the remit of the Met team on that day. I guarentee you their base within London would be above the thames not below.

The SAS are skilled at specialist operations, and whilst it would not be beneath them, would not normally be called in to deal with such events when the police can handle it and handle it well.

I make no claims of not being located within Northern Ireland and post in the Commerical forum many items about aviation in NI. I refer “Kev35” to my occupation listed in my profile, i have hardly claimed either location or occupation to be true.

I do not wish this to turn into a debate over Jean Charles de Menezes.

I think only people who remember the embassy “incident” will would have any awareness of the SAS being in london to be honest.

I do know there is a team based in london but i doubt you can find any source to back this up.

London is, somewhat, the epicentre of the UK and hence its a greater target (as we are all aware). The fact that the only public domestic SAS incident (that is well publicised) is in London should make people concur!

The passenger just above the red wing light looks ever so excited!

I assume you mean wing tip light as no winglet is shown in close up picture. But yes they do look excited
