If you learn on an aircraft that has a decent FMC/M/CDU you should get to grips with it easily enough. The controllers are usually good with newbies and will help you out just the French are known for being grumpy!

What on earth do you mean?

Do you mean unauthorised access such as climbing over a boundary fence?

Or do you mean bad for access to public transport or parking?

Lots of variables it could be!

Mark you forgot to mention about the disco! The US Airways A319 had so many problems, including all the lights flashing randomly. The noise airbus cargo doors make closing was constant when on the ground.

James Bond sounds correct. VS A340 was also used for filming.

If it is a middle exit row it will be a B737 as Dash 8 and BAE 146 are high wing and hence no middle of aircraft exit rows. EMB195 will have middle emrg exit.

Longhaul fly about 4 – 5 times a month. A trip could be 3 days or longer if they dont have a daily service. For example MYT A330 crews spend a week in some places as they are only flown once a week. I think max is 10-12 hours without a relief crew but usually anything over 9hrs there is a third person. Such as Virgin to SFO from LHR is 2 First Officers and a Captain.

Whats next radiation badges for crew? :p

At Belfast City they can fill the turning circle with 2 Dash 8’s and then let a Dash 8 turn (with no restriction) in the runway and take off. This is for the 22 end as it requires a backtrack. Robert Hamilton and myself say this being done for first time on 2nd May.

If your talking about Flight Marshalls, we do have them and they are put on flights deemed high risk. They are on the LHR-BHD-LHR rotations with BMA alot. Also have some NI ones would frequent the first BHD-LHR and also from the International Airport on the locos.

Im sure it would be the case for the UK and not just NI routes as we aint a war zone no more!

Worth noting i know of 1 route they are on full time with more than 2 per flight. It goes from London.

Yep. Its the pier u turn left just before train station to go to. Seems to be the Belfast gate pier. But no security there.
