On an aside… I was in the bar the other day and a guy lifted up the OUT OF ORDER sign on the unplugged jukebox, put his coins in, and then wondered why it wasn’t working. He then did it again, pumping in (at my estimate) £8 before he gave up.

Back on topic, would it not be best to put a glass/clear plastic 3foot barrier, about certain high value aircraft, or the ones most commonly photographed, so that the photos cannot be spoiled, and so that oiks cannot touch em.

Well in my hometown of Monmouth, South Wales (not 30 miles from your good self, Sea Vixen) apparently there was a He-111 that dumped a few bombs on the way home from an attack on Coventry in 1940. They landed on a field, missing my great great uncle, home on leave after being evacuated from Dunkirk, who was being very inappropriate with the farmers daughter in a haystack at the time.

True story, as told by my randy great great uncle…

I think it’s great that the English can fly their flag. It’s patriotic, and the only time I object to it is on the cars, as i’ve seen one or two that have four flags on all the windows. I believe there is a limit to the taste.

Regarding St. Georges Day- I am in FULL favour that this should be afforded national holiday status for England. I’m fed up of the Provinces being allowed to wave the flag of St. Andrew, the Welsh flag etc and it being classed as patriotic, but when the English do it it’s regarded as racist. I think the decision of Bliar to fly the St. Georges flag above no. 10 was purely ‘jumping on the band wagon’ as he himself is Scottish, isn’t he (?), but agree with the sentiment of displaying it.

If us Welsh, and the Scottish et al can wave their flags on their national days and alike, then I see no reason to deny the English that right as well.

You want to see what it’s like in the Isle of Man- flags EVERYWHERE! Plus with the symbol of the Isle of Man being three legs, it looks a lot like the swastika, making it occasionally rather sinister walking down the Douglas prom with the Triskeliton flying from every shop and on flagpoles at 10 metres distance for the two mile prommenade. Will post explanatory piccies soon.

You are just being silly now. Take some more of your pills and go sit in a darkened room 😡

The main problem was that the poor bomber crews rarely even saw the fighter that killed them, let alone had a chance to furball with it. 🙁

    Moggy

Oh dear excuse me for breathing… 🙁

Bearing the above in mind, were there any plans to mass produce the stripped out Sterling and fitting as many weapons as possible to it, making it an early gunship?

Or was the roll rate not so phenomenal to out manouver Axis fighters?
