What if the embargo on cuba hadn’t worked, and the Soviet Union kept their ships going?

I say that a US Marine shot dead an unarmed civilian with no hostile intent because he saw a red mist. A “profesional” soldier. By saying rather them than us summs up exactly why 9/11 occured. The “kill the unbelievers” attitude is now being used by BOTH SIDES!!!
You say that there is now one less of “them”. Who is them? Terrorists? Wheres the proof he was a terrorist? You have none. Was he an ordinary Iraqi defending his property from being reduced to dust? Who knows? i certainly don’t; i very much doubt anyone knew other than him. It sickens me that you can have that attitude.

Is there not a picture of a Tu-95 Bear being intercepted by Royal Air Force E.E Lightning’s in circulation? I saw it once in a book but cant remember whether it was close to Scotland or not… But surely the presence of the Lightnings mean that they were scrambled to intercept?

As a Flt Sgt in the CCF i have just returned from our service at the war memorial in school. I felt honoured to be in the presence of those who have helped me enjoy the life i have now. As i walked back to school, two veterans were walking the other way, i halted and snapped a salute. As they returned it, i felt like such a phoney, but i am proud just to be able to stand next to them.

Oil shmoil what its really about is unprecedented attacks on soverign nations without the authority to do so. Iraq DID NOT ATTACK THE USA on 9/11. Live with THAT. Secondly, the war was only legal in the eyes of the US. The question now, is who will be next? Or more importantly, will the US EVER get out of Iraq? Its turning into another vietnam in terms of causalties, and by breaking international law regarding attacking hospitals and schools shows the US military really doesn’t care about defeating the problem, as long as they keep their fragile economy afloat and kill some muslims to try and avenge 9/11. The ousting of Sadam was a good thing, i do not dispute that, but who’s next? Any Muslim country that has terrorists?
