That’s not to say we weren’t spotted because we were but, in the case of one particular ‘attacking’ aircraft (who’s crew will remain nameless), during the ensuing chase and ‘dogfight’ our reg’s remained unread.

    😉

Nigel Willson and Debbie Leggett were the defenders in that little skirmish though :diablo:

Hmmm – certainly a late model, PR blue and D-Day markings. Coupled with the fact certain ex-jag pilots are at BBMF we figured he was paying a return visit.

Must be the RR one then……… still around as of 1400 isf formating with a Yak

Nope, not painted blue I’m afraid, and not late mark. Was a Yak though…..

Could of been Peter Teichman, I am sure the NW boys could confirm if he was out and about today.

Closer but still not blue I’m afraid!

Was it not the Grace Spitfire? Certainly a two seater which has been operating out of NWI all day? Nice distraction at work today 😀

😮 No it wasn’t, correct about a two seater and NWI though, been distracting me from work as well!

Thanks for the kind words everyone, my grin lasted until Saturday when I went for a flight in the Yak 52 with Dave ‘Big Nose’ Barrell (see the thread titled Search and Rescue – high wire act for more details) and then it just got wider.
I’m looking forward to my next flight but the weather just isn’t playing ball I’m determined to have my licence before the club fly out to Jersey airshow in September however.

It was a great flight Big Nose, something I’ll never forget but it was marred a bit by you punching me on the chin before take off!

Thanks DB, it was great. Probably the best landing I’ve done.
My next flight should be with you on Saturday when the Spit comes to Norwich. Be gentle with me!

Broken window looking at mud just doesn’t do it for me. I want to see aircraft on a aviation site. If I wanted to see broken windows I’d go to Brixton.
