Sounds great. I didn’t know about it, thanks for the input.

It won’t help Vampire much, Biggin to Norwich would rather dilute the savings, but others here would doubtless like to know.

Any chance you could post the url?

Is there a minimum hours experience requirement?

    Moggy

Their web site is in production at the moment i think, once its up and running i will post it on the forum. No minimum hours requirement.
If anybody would like their contact numbers and details PM me.

This highlights one of the problems with the advertising and selling of ‘low cost ppl’.

If you can’t afford to train for a PPL in the UK it is very unlikely you’ll be able to afford to fly here. Flying costs virtually the same as training.

Vampire. If what you are looking for is somebody to fly one leg, whilst you fly the return, that strikes me as very sensible. However you stand more chance from advertising on the board at Biggin, since for this to work you will need to both be checked out on the same club aircraft.

Have you tried other, smaller fields in the area? It doesn’t sound like it would be too much of a problem for you to move clubs?

sorry Moggy but i cant agree with that, the school I fly at at Norwich has got a system where PPL holders can enjoy the benefits of share ownership without having to purchase a share. Basically they pay a small monthly sum and then pay cost price for their flying. So some people are flying for as little as £60 an hour. Thats why I chose to learn there in the first place.

I have just started lessons in Norwich with Dale. I have done 8 hours so far and am getting close to first solo.
Landing fees really arent as much of a problem as people think. As even with a landing fee the price is about £25 cheaper than other local airfields. Like Dave said he is very very patient and can be thoroughly recommended!
Dont let him cook you beans on toast though!
Last bit of advice melanie is watch out for that Mr Barrell Ive met him! :dev2:
