Why would they bomb if this was an accident?

Ridiculous assumption from militians become god(s truth when they allow you to bash french? Militians also said they shot down a USA F-15 during libyan war btw…

Accidental cause confirmed by the Fr president Himself after his defense speaker acknowledged earlier the shot down. I guess that some were not happy to let go a Sa7 claims for a SOF helicopter with its extended sophisticated defense suite.
Probably another MGB failure hence (Fr armed force still fly their Puma and Cougar despite 80% of the world fleet being grounded.

Any link about defence speaker saying that???
Btw the chopper was a lybian Mi… Search and you will find photos.

Stop spreading groundless rumours (i’m polite)?

Btw the soldiers weren’t special forces but CPIS… (DGSE service action).

I fail to see why exercise kills excite people on these forums. “Kills” in BFM exercises mean so little. ACEVAL/AIMVAL showed very clearly four decades ago, in many v many engagements, everyone dies at the same rate regardless of maneuverability. A-4’s and F-5’s flown by expert pilots handed F-14, -15, and -16 pilots their as*es for years at Red Flag and SFTI in the 1970’s and 80’s. If there is a poster here who finds the idea that the EF Typhoon or Rafale could not “kill” an F-22 or whatever in BFM, their living in a dream world. Yeager proved it, Boyd proved it, it’s not the plane, it’s the pilot. Moreover, in these types of engagements, loss of situational awareness or poor position is the deciding factor, not which aircraft can rate or sustain, or thrust to weight ratio

ANW, what do this piece do in a thread named “Enhanced Eurofighter”??? (Not talking of Rafale, absolutely non related, sigma4/BMD)

You can tell it wasn’t a US coup because they are better planned/financed and succeed.

    Like pig’s bay?

How do we call an end to this? I’m pretty sure we have gone as far as is possible here.

    Agree!!!

All this talk about heritage is pointless. It is indicative of arguing with a Brexit supporter. Mindless points that end up in one thing. Immigration!

Yup. It is absurd, and it was my very point. Tried to have the forum to stick back to topic few messages ago, as it didn’t work i try a different approach…
Immigration have always been an easy target for populism : when things go wrong, accuse neighbour… History do tell us how it finishes.

But it has nothing to do with aerospace industry/services.

I’m told that I’m not British. All those records showing my ancestors living in the English town where I (& both my parents, three of my grandparents, etc.) was born since 1563 (& perhaps before), & in nearby villages back to the 15th century, must be wrong then. Oh dear. Where can I have come from?

Swerve, take care! Maybe your ancestors migrated to heaven like England during 15th. If so i hope they were educated otherwise (i) you may be deported from UK after being sentenced to refund 550 years of irregularly gained social help, (ii) deported to your “country of origin” as you may be part of the plot initiated in 1452 in order to create EU and deprive fierce England from its natural leader role and economical power. Beware, maybe you should better wear a yellow star as UE citizen in GB than being deported to your country of origin as terrorist suspect, i’ve been told many EU countries still torture innocent UK citizens!

Not really in same class of performance than the Yak-130, but why not a high performance ab initio trainer, like PC-21, in place of the too conservative Yak-152 ??
    I really find the Yak-152 uninteresting…(personal view)

PC-21 is not only an ab-initio trainer (and in fact very expensive for that task except if you want to teach tactics, flight systems etc. Before deep handling learning but that is another topic). It is a highly sophisticated training plane with extensive simulation capabilities etc. The only thing it is missing is RL speed… (although it can emulate it, up to 4 vs 4 engagements). Way too expensive?

In an attempt to stick back to subject (and stop ppl trying to contradict Wonderland fantasies of some), two questions :
Did finally easy jet decide where they will install their HQs?
What will happen to Iberia (de facto not anymore a EU company with EU authorizations)?

Yes we have no evidence (and based on the past record of the neuron PR department, if something had happened we would know about it) that this is anything other than flying it at the carrier group to see how well they can detect it.

I’m fairly sure carrier operations were not in the minds of the other partners when then helped design the thing, but the bulk of the French FCAS design work at the moment has produced a shape which is very similar to the X47B, so who knows about the future.

Anw, the Mirage 2000 landing gear fitted on Neuron cannot take deck operations. However, there were several low pass. All in all one can reliably think that most of the operations were led to assess neuron vs maritime group capabilities and probably also to evaluate how the flight system would fare (a prerequisite to modify it for deck ops?)

Anw, according to latest polls, thx to brexit, pro EU positions have never been so strong

    http://www.lemonde.fr/europe/article/2016/07/15/le-brexit-provoque-un-regain-du-sentiment-europeen_4969720_3214.html

Btw, a majority of EU citizens declare that no special status should be given to uk.

Genuine question : on which legal basis the 1.5 million UK citizens living abroad since 15 years or more were denied the right to vote?

Additional humour – those are rules forced on the UK by the EU and add only £10bn (0.7%).

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/10861170/Drugs-and-prostitution-add-10bn-a-year-to-UK-economy.html

Except it is a plain lie (well… Telegraph…) as these rules were established in 2010 and became mandatory in 2014… Nvm and no pun intended towards you and your opinions. Towards Telegraph journalist yes.
