one emirati M2K down in Yemen. Both pilots dead.
Anyones seen tre greman picture “starfighter”*? interestig
Reading your rants about the F-35 is like talking to a political nut. Everything is a conspiracy. Everyone was bribed. You have no evidence at all and yet you are completely convinced.
Starategically speaking ( and i’m not specifically ralking about F-XX) Its been twice the rokaf rejected the winner of a competition due to Washington political pressures…
if you mean during first day Rafale was spanked you can openly 😉
It costs money, and contrary to what people around here spend all their time obsessing over, dogfighting is only a small part of what fighters do. Most Eurofighter operators are more interested in putting their limited resources toward more fully developing a multi-role capability, integrating new weapons, an AESA, etc.
i’d say air force is concentrating on not so sexy but useful updates. After first day or trilat exercise, Rafale pilots had to change their tactitcs vs Typhoon (improvements of Captor and better use of HMDS)….
NVM, i think France is the only non partner F-35 country building parts of F-35 😉 (OBOGS etc)
Pretty sure its an RDY-2. The RDY-3 is a scaled down variant for smaller aircraft, if I’m not mistaken.
bit complicated denomination (RDY3) due to history. Lets say 2000-I have an upgraded RDY2 with good A2G capabilities
The cost of the deal will be I suspect, an additional issue. India paid a lot for the upgrades but the Qatari/UAE Mirages should already be at Block-5 level.. getting them to the I level hopefully should not be too much of an issue? Until and unless the core systems of the V are very different from the I, avionics upgrade apart.
UAE Mirages are far more advanced.
This is my take, obviously. That’s true. But tell me, Hallow, what’s your? Argue instead of biting.
sorry about biting. Was tired.
Regularly!?
Also it depends on the pilot; if a pilot has a “bad day” he may put himself at risk if he goes to too high g’s. I read something about that recently, can’t remember where?
The suit is of course also important to be able to handle such high g’s. Which suit are used by Rafale pilots? Is it as good as the one used by Typhoon pilots (which I think is state of the art).
No the suite is not as sophisticated due to the strong inclination of the seat.
https://youtu.be/D0ykd-97VtE (Rafale Demo at Le Bourget 2013)
at 7’55 or so, pilot (Cpt Planche alias Tao) states 9 to 10.5g for more than 15 secs (at to oyher moments he says 10g for square dance andanother manoeuver)
Sorry, to be clear did he say that RR have something related to the propulsion that SNECMA dont? I thought that Taranis and Neuron shared the same engine? Are we talking about new propulsion approaches or hiding the engine I wonder?
Did he say he could see this new engine used in Rafale?
Where did he say this ( can i get a translation)?
Taranis is certainly more than a flying pancake.
let it down, pure inventions from tomcat (afaik)
Yes, the high G turns are usually done with the plane turning away from the crowd. Here the pilot is talking about two dedication turns. In one case he was pulling 9G through the turn, and in second case he was pulling 9,5G`s.
I guess thats why some planes regularly hit 10.5/11 g in air shows…
Recently, SNECMA CEO said the engine would be 50/50 between RR and SNECMA.
Btw at a moment presentator says “pilot will be in the bubble. I suppose he is talking about electronics but…
