So is the Rafale C actually rated for 11G instantaneous? Or was that just a ‘one time with all the limiters disabled’ sort of deal?
normal FCS limit 9g (and sustained btw, not instantaneous). “emergency over limit” FCS limit 11g . During airshows, trained pilots regularly hit 10.5+ g. Cell resistance was tested up to 16g (1.5x rule).
I have no idea how high it was pushed in the air during flight envelope tests
i dont think so, we were vaccinated by first world war…
To unite Europe under him or against him? 😀
Well… He did both…
Well lets hope so, but a little harware modification can be… Just a little modification, or imply a full round of new tests and software upgrades.
No, but point is for example 5 european facilities are qualified to build GaN modules. Desn’t mean any radar will be GaN made for years. Sry if i missed a point. Translation of pulsar table would be very welcome!
Rafel three pulse motor could be a potential solution for the Aim-9x Blk III ….The USAF and DARPA however are funding ramjet propulsion for the T3, so i guess as far as BVR weapons go, that path is all but certain

There’s similar project for mica NG, extended range and dual pulse engine.
So, you know how far Typhoon got then?…
…Because I have a very solid idea.
share?
The F-16 is a good value, but it also offers key performance advantages over the Rafale and Eurofighter. It is simplistic to view this as cost vs performance.
Cite ONE performance advantage?
old announcement in fact… And only one squadron.
Agree, it is fly away cost, but in the article they later compare Rafale acquisition cost and Typhoon fly away. No bif deal anw
omgz how many times will i have to link officially known prices for Rafale fly away?
its in this articl (the link)
I agree with many of your points FBW, but disagree on one : combat systems are far more integrated on eurocanards than on any “4th gen” US plane (except planned F18 NG). See data fusion for ex.
Michael Gilmore hasn’t flown it, there for he’s just another critical naysayer that has no access.
:dev2:
I remember Trappier saying that previous F35 issues were “baby class” as compared to incoming complexity of integration…
