Have a liking for clever, well engineered, innovative designs similar to jza. For me its the Fairey Rotodyne

Not flashy but 40 civillian passengers, VTOL, 190mph and 400nm range still hasnt been surpassed as far as I know…

Breguet 941 and his blown wings? 400 kmhs, 20T;190 m take off distance

    A chance, yes, but a minima…
Political (language) issues. But i do think typhoon has a chance there, if delays announced today by NOA are fixed. And i, all honesty (from a Rafale “fanboy”), it would probably be a good choice for Canada (not the best of course :diablo:)

Fairly logical about KC30 : basically Boeing proposed military a plane derived from a civilian plane that didnt exist yet… But is it the right topic?

Either he was misinterpreted by the journalist, or Dassault is thinking to participate in Canada to make a lot of noise and use the opportunity to harass the Americans.

The probability of Canaday going for F-35 is very high (90% IMHO).

If they don’t go for F-35, they will go for the SH instead.

No way they will buy Rafale. Their main issue with the F-35 is the cost. Why on earth would they buy a non-US fighter that is horribly expensive? It does not makes sense politically and it does not makes sense economically.

You are probably right about stake horse …
On the other hand, the horribly expensive plane was declared as less expensive then typhoon in india, and selected against F18 SH

AVIATION – The prospect of an order for 60 fighter aircraft by Dassault Aviation United Arab Emirates resurfaced …

Finally, light at the end of the tunnel for Dassault Aviation? France keeps hoping to sell its Rafale to the United Arab Emirates, even if the contract will not be signed during the visit of François Hollande in the country next week, according to French diplomatic sources.

The prospect of an order for 60 fighter aircraft by Dassault Aviation Emirates resurfaced in turn with a possible interest in Qatar and Kuwait. Exclusive negotiations are also underway for a year for delivery of 126 aircraft Rafale and India is also one of the possible choices of Brazil, which plans to acquire at least 36 aircraft.

    As the stock market rises

“The case is still on the table, he is likely to succeed and it is also linked to other records Rafale export to other countries,” said a French diplomat before the visit of François Holland Abu Dhabi and Dubai next Tuesday, along with defense ministers, Jean-Yves Le Drian, and Foreign Affairs, Laurent Fabius. “If the question is: is that the contract will be signed during the visit of President of the Republic, the answer is no,” he added.
Dassault Aviation declined to comment, as usual group on export markets.

The action of the manufacturer wins 2.04% to 800 euros to 13:20, while the CAC-40 remains stable. The manufacturer sought for years to sell its first fighter aircraft for export, which would automatically reduce the fiscal pressure on the French government, which must compensate the shortfall by ordering over Rafale the manufacturer.

Défense : 20 milliards d’euros sous le soleil du Qatar… pour la France ?

According to the “La Tribune” economic diary,

…”at the checkout, there is obviously the Rafale from Dassault Aviation, the French obsession. But the helicopter transporting troops, manufactured by Eurocopter NH90 and Italian AgustaWestland, which was preferred by the Paris Tiger combat helicopter (Eurocopter) for tactical reasons. France considers that the NH90 has more chance of winning than the Tiger. Regarding combat aircrafts, the Rafale, just went out of a very positive campaign in hot weather (50 degrees) in Qatar … without heatstroke unlike U.S. rivals, the Boeing aircraft, the F-15 and F-18. The Qataris, who have a need estimated at between 24 and 36 aircraft, must still evaluate the Eurofighter Typhoon and F-16 Block 50/52.

According to some sources, Doha, who’s Mirage 2000-5, participated alongside fighter jets of the French Air Force in Operation Harmattan in Libya could choose a fighter by the end of the year to enter into exclusive negotiations. Other sources contacted by “latribune.fr” believe that this timetable is too ambitious. “The Qataris do not need to replace their Mirage 2000-5 immediately,” says one. Nevertheless, France held the rope for this contract: “the emir gave his word to France to replace the Mirage 2000-5 when it’s time for the Rafale,” recalls one in Paris . Provided that a destination is found for the12 Mirage 2000-5 of the Air Force Qatari like the contract signed in 1994. Dassault Aviation at the time had managed to resettle the Mirage F1 in Doha in Spain to sell the Mirage 2000-5, which this time could find a buyer in Tunisia, Egypt …

Cool down, jackonicko, even your employers (Times Group) are now praising Rafale.
For years you have been bashing it with urban rumours like “underpowered” “unable to supercruise in hot wet conditions”, “poor radar” “long leverage canards super manoeuvrability” etc.
Point is when u intended to praise Typhoon , which definitely do not need you as it is a very capable fighter, you did it by bashing rafale.
You recently declared that rafale was dropped from UAE, wanna take a quid bet?
REcently YOUR press group stated about 20% cheaper price for Rafale.

    Now about your statements.

You keep saying that EFA will bring much better capabilities in the future etc. Any clue? NO

Give me these clues, i’ll sincerely listen to them

You are blaming the consortium about its inability to give a clear financed roadmap, we agree on that point.

You are blaming Germans for negociations, as of UK did better in Singapore for ex.

You are even admitting Rafale is more mature, again i agree with you.

You claimed LCL Grandclaudon as “an obscure officer”, sorry he is the leader of 1/7 Provence (the same very ones that deadly ass kicked EFA in Solenzara).

You dared to criticize Phil Collins opinion, eaven if you do not have 1/100th of his knwoledge about fighters

I do like EFA fighter, but your constant bashing of Rafale just make me disgust your opinion
    Etc. Etc.

No more, i do not wan to become insulting

Nice to see that apart from some bitter blind forumers, indian decision seem pretty well accepted here. Lets hope Eurocanards will get some more contracts.
