Merry Christmas and a happy 2011 to you (and everyone) too. Do you know the scale of this Corgi Stirling ?

There is also a good chance my panel is from a Mosquito Mk. B 35. So if anyone has pilot’s notes or a maintenance manual of this plane, please look if there is a picture how the bomb aimerspanel was fitted on the floor in the nose-section.

    Re: Bruce

I have sent a request to DORIS at the RAF-museum. Hopefully I receive the right pictures. I still would like to realise my plan to make a replica Mosquito bomb aimers section. Thanks for your suggestion.

Thanks very much Mark for this photo’s. Is it a Mk 26 ? Mk 26 should be a fighter-bomber. Interesting is that the panel seems to be like the Mk IV with a large fusebox above the Automatic bomb distrubitor unit.

Thanks Icare9, Bruce and Air Ministry !
Bruce could be right that there were variations on how things were fitted in quadronservice. Possible also in the different Mk’s I think. My panel doesn’t match the panel on de Mk IV drawing of Air Ministry (see photo). So I need probably a picture of a Mk IX, XVI or XX nose section, I think. I’ll send DORIS of the RAF museum a request to look in their files.

    Mosquito B nose-section

No respons from the Mosquito-project in France, so I ask the members of this forum if they can produce a picture or drawing of the floor of the Mosquito bomber nose-section. I would like to know where exactly the bomb aimerspanel, the fuse boxes-unit and the bomb release button were placed.
Hopefully one of you can show that. I couldn’t find a picture in 12Mosquitobooks and on the Internet so far. Also no respons in another forum
(with more than 2000 views) and from the De Havilland museum.

Thanks for pointing on this link Old Eagle.
I’m looking for a long time for a picture or drawing of the right place of the bomb aimers panel in the Mosquito bomber nose. Nobody could help me with this. Now I have asked the guys of this project in France if they can. Hopefully positive.

    Altimeter Mk 29B

Can anybody tell me in which plane(s) the Kollsman Altimeter, served controller Mk 29 B, nato code 6610-99-620-1976, date sept.1974, was used. I was told it came from an Avro Vulcan, but I think it has to be from a later plane.
