I think that the full price might as well be shown from the start because after all it is what the passenger will end up paying regardless of how it is broken up.
When airlines are advertising in newspapers, billboards etc they do tend to show the lowest possible fare including taxes and charges. It’s only in the first stages of the internet booking process where prices are shown without taxes and chargers ussually.
The concern of the Air Transport Users Council is that passengers will only compare airlines by looking at the base fare shown at the start of the booking process, and then choose the airline with the cheapest base fare without comparing the prices after the taxes and charges have been added. easyJet tend to have higher base fares but lower taxes and charges, and Ryaniar lower base fares but higher taxes and charges, so although EZY might offer the lowest total fare, the consumer will choose Ryanair because they only compared airlines by their base fares.
I agree with that, and want to see fares shown as a whole at all stages.
Sometimes, even fuel costs are included in the charges, which is really just one of the overheads associated with running an airline and so shouldn’t be seperate IMO.
Interesting, I thought these aircraft were to be used for the Spanish routes..

Smoke in the cockpit or cabin seems to be a relatively common occourance in airliners. Any ideas what is the actual cause of this?

Dinosaurs to which many an airline owe their existance.
Southwest, Easyjet, Ryanairs survival and many airlines in the third world.
and possibly Boeing Commercial Airplanes?

Good pictures. I’m watching a DVD about the ERJ 135 right now and it looks like a good aircraft. The pilots narrate everything they are doing/why they are doing it and also explain the flight deck instrements and the SIDs and STARs.
I’m wondering why the TCAS display is seperate from the main compass arc on the Navigation display, when on most aircraft it is superimposed directly on it…?

Amazing quality! Did you manage to take pictures through that new, big perimeter fence or did you need a step ladder?

The flybe logo sure is too small, but considering it’s a damp lease, it’s good to see that it is in full colours at all!

Nice pictures… The 747 seems to have changed in shape and size slightly from what I remember! 😉
