If anyone out there is good with photo editing, i have a photo of my hatch taken at the same angle as the one in the Dornier photo. It needs scaling down and overlaying. It really shows the match perfectly.

Can anyone do this if i email the photo to them. I feel it will conclude this post (you will all be please to know) 😀

    Thanks Peter,

Does the original post have the photo without the red ring around the hatch?

I want one without so i can print it off for display.

Flying Pencil…..SURELY you are happy now???

    Peter,

Thats fantastic and exactly what i was hoping for when i started this post.

I don’t agree re the shape, i think it’s just the camera angle. If i hold mine at the same angle as the one in the photo, the shape is exactly the same! The length of the data plate in relation to the door is the same, and the doors length is very similar in length to the ground crew members head (the one standing under the a/c) exactly the same as mine. Its hinged the correct side and you can just about see the fastner. You can even see the Red section on the data plate.

    Now i’m happy…..Fantastic, thanks.

BTW, in a parallel discussion on your item, someone posted an image that not only shows the hatch in the open position, is also has the placard mounted in the correct position!
(color is still wrong. It’s all black and white.)

Can you give me the link please?

    Thanks Tony….appreciate the comment.

The thread would be very interesting….good idea.

I was thinking of uploading photos of my Stuka cockpit section but worried that the paintwork may not be the correct shade 😀
