You will actually find that both events have been addressed in message #8 above….. 😉

Sorry looks like in read the thread too fast. 😮

Good to know they will be doing the VE day flypast. Do you know if it will involve multiple fighters?

I dont think a Bf109 would be a bad addition to the flight-No-one complained about black 6! Some representation of the German types would be good. They fought and died as well, remember?

But then not as part of the classic 3-ship. that would look very wrong. From an aesthetic point of view. A mosquito flying behind the lanc tho would have been awesome. Surely there must be one which could be flown?

Definitely go for some of the classic british fighters that seem to have been forgotten

three ship of Mosquito, Tempest and I dunno, Firefly? Spit 24 possibly?

Some kind of Axis type would be good. Wheres the Connie Edwards 2-seat Buchon these days?

    Good thread

Thanks DJ Jay for the vote of confidence in my efforts to make a canopy almost like the real thing. At least it fools the ordinary punters and keeps the water out!

As Dave T mentioned, I will shortly be replacing it with the real thing.

    Ian.

Sorry about that. I thought it looked a bit curious tis all. It looks like a brilliant project.

If i knew where to get parts for preserved harrier cockpits i would have one myself!

    Love Jay

    I think she’s beautiful

A local museum, a few tins of paint, a new canopy and it seems, a sudden wave of enlightenment on the part of the owners and she could look decent. No-ones asking it to fly, just stop it rotting and make it look okay.

    hmmm

I still thinks she looks beautiful as she is, however I havent seen her for a while is she even still there?

There is something eerily stunning about it as it is tho. In a morbid way. keep it as it is. where it is. forever.

    Jay
