Was at Gloucester the other Sunday and it was 1.49 (still very good though), amazed to see it go down again. I think it’s about 1.50 at the moment at our place although we only buy 5,000 litres at a time, I would imagine places like Glos get through at least ten times that much.

Still use my 13.4 DC’s. Never had a problem with them and hardly know I have them on. Mind you I don’t do aeros. I’ve tried Bose A20’s and while obviously they attenuate the racket, I don’t think they are worth the extra squillion quid for bimblers like me who knock up 60-70 hours a year. If I was flying everyday I would definitely get a pair.

What a wonderful term ‘Failed to land correctly’. 🙂 Glad both are OK by the way.

It is not surprising that this minority protested loudly, for they were those whose unwarranted power, special privileges, and belief in perpetual state funded lucrative sinecures, were under threat.

The civil service will always survive, you mark my words.

I have to take issue with the ‘defender of the free’ type of comments as she supported Pinochet who was hardly a defender of the free.

Just half watching the first of probably many pre made obituary programs and I’d never noticed that she was quite an attractive woman when she became PM. Mind you it’s probably me that’s getting old…

They’re a bit like the kids who used to sit at the back of the class making rafia baskets. They used to shout sometimes but they were harmless enough.

Leave ’em alone I say, there’s room for at least one bonkers country in the world, it would be awfully grey if they went.

Was going to go to Fenland to the fly in today. Got to the airfield with a mate this morning, it was snowing a bit and looked a bit rough. We ummed and awed for an hour and decided to knock it on the head.

I took the wife shopping to the Yorkshire Outlet and by the time we got there the weather had cleared and it was a super rest of day with unlim vis……:mad::mad::mad:

Breighton next weekend, let’s hope it’s less annoying.

I have a pal who works in advertising, much to his dismay. He’s a graphic artist so does actually earn his keep. However he has an interesting take on the ‘imagineers’ and other waste of spaces who earn mega bucks for being basically useless.

He reckons that if they weren’t paid a lot they may be tempted to do important jobs like teaching or nursing, so it’s actually like an ‘idiot’s tithe’ to keep them away from the jobs that count.

You can apply the same philosophy to local government.
