    The jets will be operating out of Bentwaters,the runway and taxi-ways were being cleaned today.

    Also out of interest three Harriers have been made ready by Everett Aero for the static line-up on Sunday.
    There are two Sea Harrier F/A2’s one in light grey scheme and the other in the Admirals Barge colours of gloss blue and white. And a gloss black twin seat T.8N

    Thought about flying in – £8 ticket very good value until the £40 admin fee is added. And the 32p for return postage.

    The £40 is the landing fee for any aircraft that want to fly-in for the show.

    After a bit of research i’m certain it was a RF-101 based at Laon and found this link http://www.offshoreradio.co.uk/odds19.htm which has audio clips about the incident.

    Crashed F-15 Eagle at RAF Bentwaters

    Heres a shot of F-15D Eagle 79-0009/BT 36th TFW which tried to take the barrier but broke its port u/c leg off and went off the runway. I remember seeing the Eagle doing approaches as i neared the airfield in my car,it was only when i got to runway 25 end and looked across i saw the Eagle on the grass so it had only just happened !! Date was 10th July,1985
