3. OTH/Skywave radar. As discussed on here ad nauseum resolution decreases massively with range. You get a rough bearing, a velocity vector and a very rough range figure and thats your lot. You dont get any indication of target size whatsoever for example.

main problem was sooo many signals it picks up with its big antenae aperture system .now with huge processing power and using combination of ionosfere multiple bouncing or surface earth curviture following signal. it can detect with 10 km resolutions small narcotic-cartel boats ,stelth planes etc thousands of kilomethers away… let alone a enourmous carrier .the size of carrier also makes much better precison resolution on long distances…
ussr and russia had in siberia radars that could monitor continental unitead states.
i dont think carrier would dream of coming less then 3000km near shore rendering its useless ,nore launching its planes even further as it would give the direction of carier away.

buk m1 or m2 depending on missile used ,all other things are sames, is very lethal given in open sources 0.8 posibble kill for fighters. its countinus wave radar only stats continues iluminating last 2-5km ,outgoing/incoming, missile is before target so thats in 3 seconds before impact ,missile can be guided by radio comand with other sensors or radars to aproximates aircraft location. georgians had prepared and integrated mobile radar network while russian army had few inteligence about it. israel also improved them with latest tehnology as revenge for supplying merkava killing missiles to siria and hamas in lebenon.

I agree, the 144 was a more interesting and practical concept than the berkut, but then , i doubt both were conceived for the same purpose.

Its sure PAK-FA is a future project and they want to sell Su-35 at Maks 2009 like SSJ100 at Le Bourget. But a PAK-FA demonstration flight can show the world, the capacity of the Russian aircraft industry!!

it wont fly this year ,for sure ,about next well see. and when it fly it will be liek freak ,engine of 117s SU-35 class ,no working radar ,stripped of everything. canseling mig 1.41,42,43,44,45. project set industry 10 years behind. remember pogo the drunk promised flight in 2007 ,at first. people have short memorieas. look at tjis thread its episode 8. and still no sign of fighter.
