well another side of story is that gerogia was going to attack ,russia knew ,amerika knew…everyone partyy involved knew….
but americans and georgians hopped ther upgraded equipment (compared to russian divisions and 58th army nearby) their blitzkrieg would work and humiliate russia completely ,secure future for sakashvillan …etc.
to that confirms the israeli meddling into s-200 missiles guidaince.
s-200 for high altitude ,BUKm1 for mid and tor for low …seems very capable defence indeed.
but now they are playing with misssile shield?

you mean to the court whitch amerika doesnt recognise and forces other countries to sign a paper not to deliver its citicens to it?
by the way your reporters should visit camps in northern ossetia and ask refugees there what happened instead of going into sakashvilis ass
so,some “analyst” writes his piece of paper and its all fact????
duh,i hope you not that stupid.and you should be ashamed for negating victims of georgian armys terror campaign.
also…
sovereign country was invaded because it was supposed to have weapons of mass destruction ,wich it didnt and so didnt use at all against anyone….
i remeber some planes crashed into a building and killed 2000 or more civilians of different nations and a sovereign country was invaded…
some dead terrorists were dressed up as civilians and bombing campaign started including killind of journalists and tv stations ,bridges …to take a piece of sovereign land away.
and so on ,and so on….
The fear of all leaders is that Puin being a judo expert could loose his temper and reflexly thump the person down on a flour. .

Quite a surprise to those after the conflict who believed totally the Yugoslav Information Ministry version of events. The air force was the main loser in the conflict.
In interviews during 2001 Yugoslav air force Col. Radovan Rakovic stated:
“All our airports on the ground suffered great damage,” Rakovic said. The Yugoslav air force, he said, lost about 30 percent of its combat equipment and 40 percent of its combat systems.”
In regards to Yugoslav Air Force losses Gen Pavkovic revealed:
“Pavkovic believes the Yugoslav military was successful overall because it suffered relatively few casualties and managed to hold on to many of its weapons systems. The lone exception, he said, was the Yugoslav air force, which “suffered considerable losses.”

georgia lost much more then that in 7 days…
but,,okay give us 78 days plz :diablo::dev2:
And if the Russians had not been ready, then I’m sure there will be people coming onto this board and others and using that as evidence of what a sorry state the Russian military is in that their combat readiness is incomparable to NATO forces.
As you have already pointed out and stressed, this conflict did not come out of the blue, tensions have been simmering for over a decade now, and it would be unrealistic to think that the Russians would not have a ‘worst case scenario’ contingency plan worked out for if the $hit hit the fan. You think the Americans do not have plans and forces ready to act in the event of a North Korea missile attack on South Korea/Japan or a Chinese invasion of Taiwan? Especially if there had been a steady increase of tensons leading up to the conflicts?
Russian forces being in a position to respond immediately to the Georgian attack is no evidence that the Russians were expecting an attack. In fact, all the evidence points to the contrary. Putin was in Beijing representing Russia when it was customary for heads of state to be there. Had the Russians been expecting a Georgian attack, then it would have made perfect sense for Medvedev to go to Beijing and for Putin to stay home and ready the troops.
and to tell the horifbble truth he almost succseded in it.
early before midnight there were hinds taking off with special forces to secure the tunnel of rokij there was fighting and there were even pictures fotage of it somebody mentioned but its got canceled.
definately you could tel sakashvillan got very impatient and failed teribbly from justice and education reform to destroying economy of georgia he would not get another mandate anyways.this was a possible grand victory for him.
you know gori means BURN in english?:diablo:
officialy we say 1 thing but actually were doing another….
and since im following olympics lets have a tally-
well, all in all this is votes form the russian judge on scale form 1-10!
special forces 10 ……(very fast and very good bloodhounds from dagestan and chechenia are still top class).
armoured-mechanised troops 8……… although they did pulverise enemy the didnt sorround georgian infantry due to no night-fight capability and let enemy infantry slip away…
aviation 6……. (all in all it did what it was supposed to but too many losses and s-200 should be jamable since we made the damn thing maybe israelies poked with it?) resulting in more use of tactical missiles.
on average 8, very good considering circumstances with possbility of even a medall…
No info yet. But acording to press in Poland RuAF Su-24 droped bombs in Georgia, so maybe Fencers..
yahoo let reb-up thoose engines
sukhois in action

smashing advanced georgian tank columns who almost completely took the city …aviation was only available quick answer.
some hind-in action pictures will be soon.
Interesting idea. Let us imagine that, for example, the Estonian government was to issue Estonian passports to anyone who wanted them in the parts of Russia which were in Estonia before WW2, and which still have Estonian-speaking inhabitants. Would this mean that Estonia had a right to intervene militarily in Russia to protect its citizens, if they rebelled against Russian rule?
In this case, the disputed territory is not even inhabited by ethnic Russians, & was never part of the Russian state separately from Georgia. It was conquered by Russia at the same time as, & as part of, the conquest of Georgia.
Whether or not the Ossetians have a right to independence, the Russian intervention is wrong. It is not in support of the aspirations of the S. Ossetians, but as a blatant land grab. It is also being presented in hypocritical terms, with Russian “peacekeepers” actively fighting to win a war for one side. BTW, if Russia is so keen on ethnic self-determination, what have the last 15 years in Chechnya been all about?
And that’s it for me. Enough digression into things which are not proper areas of discussion for this aviation forum.
the started bombing russian peacekeepers positions and killing our soldiers..
i would like you to abstain form such B.S. on forum here you dont know what the word osetian even means ,let alone that north osetia is a part of russia and stalin split it up in half and add south to georgia even though people there opposed that.i
At least not with the Tu-16 and Tu-95. There might have been some problems with the M4, but AFAIK it never suffered from those nasty break-up-in-flight issues either. .
really? meh but they never flied that low -long range cruise missiles fired rom mid altituide were answer .
well its a secret. anyway going probably to 90% of al-41 thrust but with much better fuel consumption.big internal weapons bay means less fuel.
also depends on da espionage effort ,like monocrystal assamblies serial production.
ahhh the isobars of the action turbine stator and rotor blades stresses.
nice distribution on that second picture of axial component stress right on 1/3 depth and on center.
it seems breaktrough with monocrystal tech nology is reason brand new engine is used not a further derivative of -117s proj. on su-35bm .gettin close on 1900k+ temparatures there on tip of stator blade in intake slot
You know, if you listen carefully, I think that you could still hear them partying in the Pentagon at this news.
Lets face it any airfield in Cuba operating nuclear capable Russian bombers is going to be saturation TLAM’d and CALCM’d to death very early in any strategic escalation so the actual threat presented by a couple of squadrons of Russian bombers exposed on Cuba is minimal. The shock value of letting the populace know that winged death is sat just across the water waiting to be unleashed is going to authorise many, many more Raptors!.
You sure this is a genuine Russian news piece?
please keep destroying you economy ,for 5 billion threat on cuba waste 500bill of resources and keep wasting money on afganistan-iraq-iran please DO IT!
anyway theyll creep up on us with abms and just imagine ukraine or belarus in nato ….
