Just my humble opinion.
Key.aero is more of a news and features website. This discussion forum is included as part of the Key.aero product, they are not in competition as such.
It’s still in it’s formative stages but we hope it can become an ideal one-stop homepage for latest aviation news and features from our writers.
Have last year’s calendar hanging on the wall next to my computer – was looking forward to this year’s issue.
Hi Jim,
Please see updated post above. The free calendar is included in this issue!
Hi there Mr Editor,
I have just bought a copy of Vulcan farewell but am very disappointed that the poster in the middle is full of staple holes and creases – I wanted to either frame it of get it laminated!
Any chance of a rolled copy, laminated or not?
Feel sure that I ma not the only one.
Many thanks (in anticipation).
Fieldhawk
Hi Fieldhawk,
We have some spares here in the office but they are folded (without staples). If you would like one of those, please send your address to shaun.binnington@keypublishing.com and we will get one in the post for you.
thanks, UPDATES
It has come to our attention that some UK stores have not yet received the February issue of FlyPast magazine.
Unfortunately, there has a been a short delay due to distribution problems over the festive season.
This has now been rectified and copies should now be in store, or will be within the next couple of days at the very latest.
Please note, you can order direct with FREE UK second class P&P here or subscribe to ensure you never miss a copy here.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Happy New Year, the FlyPast Team
Thanks guys. I’ll send a PM to wieesso.
An initiative with huge potential.
But really strange to see how a product with worldwide access without any addiitonal costs or resource implications is promoted as if it is only targetting the british market.
I guess that the chance that I get an answer is close to nill but I really would like to know why this product is promoted in this way
Hi Drabslab
Thanks for taking the time to send a message. I agree there is huge potential for AirForces Daily (AFD) but it definitely isn’t being geared for the British market. Its a global brand, just like AirForces Monthly. Around 60% of the AFD subscriptions taken out to date are actually from overseas.
As Editor, AFM (99-2010) I geared AFM for the global market – but the one weakness was that people didnt get the news as soon as it broke. Often they had to wait six weeks to get the mag, so the news was pretty outdated and may even have been taken over by events. Well thats not the case anymore as the web solves that issue. As the AFM Editor, I also had a lot of requests for a sortable Attrition database, couple that with videos and lighter features then make it all searchable by country air arm and aircraft type and you certainly have huge potential. I look forward to you subscribing! 🙂 Alan Warnes, Editor AirForces Daily
Boozeboy, Sopwith – We aren’t aware of any major problem with the printing of the Airshow Guide but obviously with such large runs there is always the potential for a few rogue copies. If you would like a replacement please send your details to shaun.binnington@keypublishing.com and I will get it sent out for you. The same applies for anyone reading this who has experienced the same problems.

Do you ship to South Africa?
Hi 27vet,
Yes, we ship worldwide for £3.00.
Not been to Waddington before, going on the Sunday this year. How much space is there on the “front row” (ie. the fence line closest to the runway)? For photography, are there good views of the flybys from all over the site or is it best to get a position early and stick to it.
Many thanks.
Hi Tim,
If you’re a Key magazine subscriber and get to the show early enough there’s a good chance you could snap up some front row seats in our flight-line enclosure. Otherwise there’s usually an early morning scrum for the best spots in the general areas but there are decent views to be had all across the flight-line.
See you there!
Im wondering why the mag is not out in Australia. We are still on the Qantas at 90 mag (Jan 2011 edition) Could be that we are 4 mags behind or something. Just would like an explanation as i am enjoying the mag very much.
Hi triggywiggy,
Are you a subscriber or do you buy your copy in the shops? Obviously, there is a delay between an issue coming out over here and it arriving in Australia but it shouldn’t be as drastic as 4 months (issues).

So where would one get a copy in the USA?
Hi me109g4,
You should be able to find a copy of Spitfire in the same places you find your Key magazines. Or you can order from us direct with airmail postage using the link above.
regards, Updates.
Any one know how this will affect those of us with subscriptions to Today’s Pilot which are not due for renewal yet?
Hi Mike,
You should be getting a letter through shortly. Basically, you will either be able to transfer your subscription to the new Pilot magazine (encorporating Today’s Pilot) or you can cancel your subscription and a pro-rata refund will be arranged for your remaining months.
regards, Updates.
Is this a one-off supplement or is it a regular magazine?
It is a one-off special magazine, although that is not to say that there won’t be more on the same theme in the future. For now though, this is the only one planned.
Order placed!
Is it out yet?
The book is out but our initial stocks sold almost as soon as they came in! We are now awaiting delivery of further stocks from Pakistan. These are expected in the next 10-12 days.
