We are having problems with our ISP who have control over the keypublishing.com domain. People can still get access through keyaviation.net which is probably the ‘new’ address that has been mentioned.
Hopefully by midday today our ISP will have got its act together and fixed their mistake, which means http://www.keypublishing.com will be back online.

The reason why some place names and person names have ** in them is part of the wrod contains a text string that is on the bad word list.
It is possible for us to tweak the bad word filter to a certain extenet, if you email us at webmaster@keypublishing.com with the words that get censored we will try out best.
As with regards to some people not being able to post images, this is due to the free space on our current web server and not due to any censorship. This issue will be addressed when we move web servers, all I can do is ask you to bare with us, as we are aware of the problem and it is on the “Things to do List”
Kind Regards

It is true that the CAA do take a very dim view of accidents that occur due to running out of fuel. However, as with so much in aviation, it is often not quite as simple as it may appear and there can be extenuating circumstances. A good example is the recent failed prosecution of Donald Campbell, whose defence lawyer proved that errors in the tech log meant that there was considerably less fuel in the aircraft than Campbell believed. This error was compounded when Campbell miscalculated the conversion for litres to gallons, causing the aircraft to run out fuel and crash. Nevertheless, Campbell’s defence lawyer was able to prove that had the Seneca contained the amount of fuel indicated in the tech log then the aircraft would not have run out of fuel, despite the fuel miscalculation. Personally, I feel that although most cases of fuel mismanagement are probably down to some degree of negligence, clearly, and as the Campbell case proves, each case needs to be considered individually as there can be extenuating circumstances.

Just to confirm this forum is not going anywhere.

The server has been puchased already, we are in the process of moving files across. I would estimate by the middle of October, there could be a 48-72 hour downtime of the forum associated with the move. However we will try our best to keep this to a minimum.

Just to keep you all informed.
When the forum goes down it is usually due to heavy server usage, something we are addressing with a server upgrade.
Currently this board is exceeding our bandwidth at over 30 Gigs, so we are having to upgrade to a much more substantial hosting solution. The new server should be in place within the next month.
If anyone is having problems with the forum or have any questions then please contact me webmaster@keypublishing.com
Regards to any “rumours” about this board stopping they are merely rumours and nothing more, I would certainly be interested in where this information originated.

The thread regarding the low flying Spitfire was removed on request of authorities within the aviation industry.
The “stepladder poll” was not removed it was responsible for the last forum crash and was lost in the rebuild.

Basically an individual decided to target the forum and ’emptied’ the database, meaning among other things we had no access or posts. After a re-install and complete rebuild of the database from a backup the forum is back online.
As some users may have seen, the culprits were apparantly the HangUp team, for what reason they attacked us we are not sure. However if they had a problem of any content posted here, there course of action was not the one to be taken.
Its not all bad though they did offer to fix it for us for a bargain of upto $200. Thanks for the offer guys but we managed without you.
Welcome back to all our users. 😀
