With the images being displayed as links can you please tell me which thread so I can go and have a look.

Sorry about the lack of annoucement there are several reasons for the change one of them is to give the dial-up users a bit of a break with the heavy image threads. However the most important one is bandwidth reduction for ourselves, having all the images being displayed is very intense on our bandwidth and it costs alot in terms of bandwidth charges, hopefully this should improve matter for us at Key.

I will also look into how to get the thumbnails to open up in a seperate window rather than the same window as the thread

AMD chips use a new nameing scheme. For instance an AMD Athlon XP2800 is only about 2.2Ghz in true speed, the 2800 is AMDs way of saying this chip should be as fast as an Intel P4 at 2.8Ghz

The December 2004 issue of Air International has an article on the F18-G with a cutaway drawing.

    SOC,

I take it that the machine is a laptop as the Graphics chip is a mobile one. You have to remember with laptops that most components are designed with power consumption in mind, as in the lower the better, rather than performance. To this effect a similar specced laptop and desktop will always have the desktop coming out on top. However the 9700 card is a good one, and you should see a half decent fps out of it.

Its a security loop hole in windows, make sure you have applied all patches for XP. The basics is that someone has found your machine on the net and has shut it down using the loop hole. A full windows patch should fix it.
