Nothing has ‘killed’ N Weald – its still very much alive as the various picture threads attest. There are many events held there each year and there is a lot to for the enthusiast to see. Recently new residents have moved in and every weekend sees plenty of movements from the resident organisations that are based there such as the Gnat Pair, Kennet Aviation and Hangar 11. The Air Britain Fly IN was held a few weeks ago and Pup Cub gathering a weekend or two ago and recently there have been night shoots, the Norwegian Day and there is the upcoming open day in September.

The airfield also hosts a varity of other events from a large Saturday market to car enthusiasts days, driver training, hovercrafting, archery. There is always something going on there and diversity is the secret to giving the place more appeal to a wider audiance rather than a purrely aviation focus.

Please do not write off a thriving airfield.

I wasn’t aware of any of that going on. Maybe they need to shout a little louder?
