The aircraft would have been delivered in yellow T bands ,this scheme ran to about mid-1959 when the dayglo paint appeared ,this covered the cowling, wingtips, the rear fuselage and tailplanes. Rarely were control surfaces painted for fear of upsetting the control balance due to the extra weight of paint.Around 1962 the strips of dayglo started to appear on natural metal ,light grey appearing from 1966.

WP784 was delivered to the RAF on 18.6.52 and served with 17 Reserve Flying School at Hornchurch,5 Reserve Flying School at Castle Bromwich,Air Attache,Paris,Queens University Air Squadron at Sydenham,Manchester University Air Squadron Woodvale,8 FTS at Swinderby,Aberdeen UAS Dyce,Leeds UAS Church Fenton.
