What makes you think politicians are any less crooked in a different country?
The politicians in the USA make your crop look like Boy Scouts,,,,

Remember the Government do not have any money of their own. It is OUR MONEY that they spend.

No argument there Charlie…Broon and Co were outrageous 😑

If I were younger, I would undoubtedly emigrate, they are, whoever is in, are just in the job for what they can get out of it, which usually boils down to OUR money.

No I very happy Jim…I just hate politicians squandering my tax…

Governments, not politicians as individuals, have been squandering our taxes for YEARS!! And no one has increased the sheer volume of taxes more than this PM’s predecessor, as Chancellor and then as PM. I believe the famous tax bible “Tolley’s Yellow Tax Handbook” was just over 4,500 pages in 1997 and is now approaching 11,000!!

I.M.H.O. it’s their first line of defence, until they have been “Worked on” and finally admit their offence.I do think however, they should lose their pensions if and when found guilty, as many are far better well heeled than you and I will ever be.

I can’t disagree with any of that.

Mistake:- An error or fault resulting from defective judgment, deficient knowledge, or carelessness.

I guess that sums it up.

Indeed it does. And we’re expected to go to a polling station, to elect wastes of fur like him, and others of his ilk. If it wasn’t for real, it’d be laughable. But it is, and I don’t think many are laughing:mad:

defective judgment – can’t fault that!

deficient knowledge – are you serious?

carelessness – exceptionally careless in my book – according to the BBC website this in part relates to the fact that β€œhe submitted 19 invoices totalling Β£12,900”

Why is it, that these so called ‘honourable members’ always seem to refer to their transgressions, as ‘mistakes’?

Paul 178
Paul, just read the link, it never ceases to amaze me that when caught as she and many others are, they suddenly become unfit to appear at Court to answer the charges that have been brought against them?, due to a sudden attack of ill health,Seems to happen to high profile folks, in all walks of life.

Born in Glasgow as Denis Matyjaszek, to Irish mother and Polish father. I suppose he could plead he did not either understand English or the UK Parliamentry System! Might work with a daft Judge(and theres a lot of them about):)
